I did it! I’m down to 119lbs! Oh my goodness, if someone had told me a month ago I was going to lose 9 pounds in 3 weeks, I would have thought they were nuts….
Seriously, if I had known it was going to be this easy, I would have done this a YEAR AGO!!!
If you want to lose weight, don’t wait any longer. I was skeptical when I first heard about this diet. I was skeptical after reading the first chapter in the book. Then I just thought “Oh what the heck, I’ll try it for a week and see what happens.” I am so glad I did.
I lost 4 pounds in the first week. If that doesn’t motivate you to keep going, then nothing will. Is it always easy? No. But if I can do it, then you can do it.
I love food. But I love feeling good in my own skin, more. Every woman deserves to feel good about herself. If you take time out for yourself and focus on getting healthy, you won’t regret it.
I kept making excuses like “I don’t have time to diet and exercise!”, “I don’t have time to eat right!”, “Eating right costs too much and I can’t afford it!”. And that’s all they were…. excuses. I struggled for over a year after having my second child, trying to lose weight unsuccessfully. I am SO glad that Dukan contacted me to review this diet because I don’t think I would have had the motivation to fully commit to a diet otherwise. I am really serious about my reviews and when I accept something to review, I do it to the full extent. I don’t review shoes, clothes or beauty and cosmetics products until I put them to the test and I applied the same principles when it came to this diet.
I really and truly believe in The Dukan Diet now. Just look at my results…

Starting Weight: 128 lbs
Goal Weight: 114 lbs
- Day 1 – I weighed in at 127.8 lbs (12 lbs over goal weight)
- Day 2 – I weighed in at 125.0 lbs (10 lbs over goal weight)
- Day 3 – I weighed in at 124.2 lbs (9 lbs over goal weight)
- Day 4 – I weighed in at 124.2 lbs (9 lbs over goal weight)
Cruise Phase:
- Day 5 – I weighed in at 123.2 lbs (8 lbs over goal weight)

I’m losing approximately 3 pounds a week, which means I should be down to my goal weight in a little over a week. Maybe if I step it up and throw in some extra exercise, I can do it in a week!
I think I’m probably retaining a little bit of water because I just started my period and I’m bloated and feel a little yucky. I’m hoping that this doesn’t stall my weight loss this week. I don’t want to hit another plateau!
I’m starting to enjoy making some of the recipes in the The Dukan Diet Cookbook: The Essential Companion to the Dukan Diet and I’m getting creative putting my own little things together, like this tuna salad lettuce wrap I made yesterday…
I made Dukannaise (as I like to call it) and mixed it with 1 can of tuna, chopped jalapenos, celery, onions and a few spices. Then I mixed it up and made wraps with romaine lettuce. Wicked yummy! And it was fast too. The perfect lunch on a Protein/Vegetable day.
See, no suffering! I’m actually eating yummy things! lol
