Okay, I’m kinda loving this diet… Not because I love the feeling of craving carbs, but I love the results so far and it’s giving me a lot of encouragement to go further. I figure it won’t be this easy and this successful in the weeks ahead, but I love that this kick-start is actually giving me results.
On Monday, I weighed 127.8 lbs (12+ pounds over my goal weight) and this morning I got on the scale to see 125.0 lbs! I haven’t seen a number that low on my scale since 2009!
I’ve lost 2.8lbs in 2 days on the Dukan Diet “attack phase”. It’s pretty kick-ass! I’ve done 3-day juice fasts before that didn’t work that fast… I’m really impressed. And surprised. But I think I might have lost one pound out of each boob and that .8 lbs might have been water weight… LOL Still, it’s super, super awesome to see the number on the scale going DOWN!!!!
My diet this week, during the “attack phase” looks a little bit like this…
The hardest thing for me, honestly, has been drinking as much water is required for this diet. 1.5 quarts a day! That’s 48 ounces of water! That’s like 4 bottles of Poland Springs bottled water or 1 bottle of FIJI Natural Artesian Water
! THAT’S A LOT OF WATER! Or so it seems like for me… It’s about 4x what I normally drink. I have trouble drinking water usually, so this is a huge change in itself, for me.
I’m going to hold off on the heavy exercise because I feel a little tired today… No energy. I should probably eat more but I think my intense craving for carbs has altered my perception of what “real” hungry feels like. I feel weird!!!!
One of the things I have to eat every day during the “Attack Phase” is Organic Oat Bran. You can make little weird looking pancakes with it, mix it in greek yogurt or make like a hot cereal with it. It’s the only “carb” allowed on this diet and you only get like 1 tbsp of it. I think it’s supposed to help keep you feeling full as well as keep things in the…*ehem*… plumbing system, moving along. Seems to be working for me, although I’ve read other people get a little ‘backed up’ during this phase of the diet.

Be sure to get your copies of The Dukan Diet: 2 Steps to Lose the Weight, 2 Steps to Keep It Off Forever and The Dukan Diet Cookbook: The Essential Companion to the Dukan Diet
to start on your own weight loss journey. It’s a small step in the right direction and honestly, this is one of the easiest diets I’ve ever been on. And I can’t believe I have already seen results.
Do stay tuned to see how I’m doing. I’m going to try to post everyday as long as there is some results to report! And at some point, I’ll get my husband to take a humiliating “before” picture of me so we’ll have something to compare it to in a month. :-)

I have NOT received compensation for posting about the diet! Posting about my weight loss is entirely my choice. I am not being paid to review the Dukan Diet or to lose weight. (Unfortunately!) This is raw footage into my personal weight loss experience, I just received the books and a couple Dukan products to “review” which is helping me on my own personal journey.
