Trend Alert: Grey (Gray?) Nail Polish!

Grey (gray? which do you prefer?) nail polish is popping up all over the place… first it was black, now I guess the stylista’s pulling the strings from their tall towers have toned it down a bit. I never was much for the black nail polish, although, ahem, to be truthful I never tried it.

But grey, hello? Does anyone around here read my posts? (I’ve obsessed about it here and here. And featured it here, here, here and here – plus possible others.) Grey I can do.

So anyway, I packed up the kiddos and did some hard core “research” for you gals… which including stopping at my fav beauty store that is now out of business apparently and then packing the kiddos up again and heading to good old Target. It was there that I found Rimmel’s “Night Life” for $3.89. Zipped home, put the kiddos to bed and then gave myself a little manicure – all for you of course!

Here’s the outcome: (please note, I am neither a “manicurist” nor a “photographer” – so this is as good as it gets). And as I look at the picture again, I am also not a hand model or material to ever be one. I’m a housewife!

This particular color had a little shimmer to it and some undertones of purple and maybe brown. I liked that it looked a bit edgy and cool – but still doable for everyday. Like for instance tomorrow I have “moms group” at church. I would not wear black nail polish to that – granted they are a pretty fun group. But not so “fun”ky, if you get me.
