Chuck Taylors – Here to stay or fleeting trend?
In an earlier post I featured some low top Chuck Taylor All Stars in a casual yet hip outfit. The reason I put these in that outfit was that I am starting to crush on these shoes a bit. Which is a little ironic because I don’t even own or wear athletic shoes (except for my tennis whites) – but both of my kids actually have a pair of these. Brown low tops with laces for my son and pink low top slip ons for my daughter. Seeing the kids wear them I realize that this little shoe goes with everything! My daughter is constantly wearing them with dresses and jeans alike. And my son wears them with both jeans and shorts. And in the grand scheme of things they have a great price point.
The best part about Chuck Taylors these days is that they come in about every color of the rainbow and so many styles.

This pair at least has to get an honorable mention – sequined!! I love it. I am actually just crazy enough to wear these.

So what do you think? Too trendy? Too young? Too athletic? Or just right?
I think their a great alternative to wearing athletic sneakers when you can’t wear stylish shoes like to the playground or whatever. I don’t currently have a pair of Converse, but my daughter has the pink hightops.
I have a pair of Blowfish sneakers that are similar style to Converse. Quite cute!
