Today’s Outfit: Holidays!

This is actually my first time posting my very own “Today’s Outfit”! How fun! This is actually the outfit I wore for Christmas Eve, but I thought it would be appropriate for New Year’s Eve as well, depending on what your plans entail.
This isn’t a great pic, I snapped it as we were walking out the door – so sorry about the quality!
I was going for a relaxed tuxedo look. The top has tuxedo ruffles on it and the black blazer fits snugly for a refined look. Then with the scarf I just tied it together to make an eternity scarf all on my own and added the belt to break up some of the black!

Here’s the details:
Jeans: Seven for All Mankind
Black Blazer: Ann Taylor Loft
Black Tuxedo Shirt: Target
Black Bobble Ring: Target
Grey Belt: Forever 21
Grey Scarf: Forever 21
Bangle Bracelets: Forever 21

And then of course the shoes:

The picture again isn’t great, but they are square toed tweed with little lace up detailing. I don’t know what brand these are… I do remember I got them at Macy’s.

I look forward to posting more outfits… until then, I need a full length mirror!

Trend Alert: Lace!

Lace is popping up at all the retailers these days and it is a perfect addition to your holiday attire. Whether it be for Christmas, Hanukkah or New Years! I still haven’t decided what I am wearing for EITHER holiday (so I really need to get a move on it!)… but lace can be worn so many different ways and is soft and feminine while still ultra-chic!

If you are at all like me, it is at this time of year that you just love to indulge in a little sparkle for your wardrobe. Maybe it is the twinkly lights on the Christmas trees or my dreams of New Year’s Eve drenched in champagne (yum!), but it never fails that this time of year I get a deep desire to build my “festive” wardrobe. The only thing is that I can’t stand buying a piece of clothing that I know will only hang around in my closet until the next “festive” occasion!
