About Juicy Couture
Juicy Couture started unofficially in 1994 when co-founders/designers Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor started selling maternity pants, creating their own fashion label, Travis Jeans. The name changed to Juicy Couture in 1996 when Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor transitioned into the casual, ultra-girly line we know and love today.
Owned by Liz Claiborne fashion company since 2003, Juicy Couture, known for its signature Juicy velour
tracksuits, is an affordable high-end clothing line targeted toward women ages 10โ26.
But the Juicy Couture brand is always diversifying.
For example, in 2006, co-founders Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor started a new line carried in high-end stores called “Couture Couture,” embodying their new lifestyles. 2 years later, they introduced their first collection of loungewear and sleepwear called “Choose Sleep by Juicy Couture Intimate Apparel.” Also in 2008, Juicy Couture launched a plus-size line called “Extra Juicy.”

Juicy Couture even had a short stint producing a menswear line, but halted production in June 2009 after the menswear designer left the company. However, the band does offer a fragrance for men, Dirty English.
But recently, Juicy Couture has undergone creative leadership changes instigated by Liz Claiborne Inc. CEO, William L. McComb. Juicy’s co-founders and co-designers are switching to non-operating creative consulting roles at the company for the final year of their contract.
Erin Fetherston, a favorite of Zooey Deschanel, will design the Juicy Couture line’s summer-fall 2011 and holiday 2011 collections. There are also plans for Fetherston to roll out a few exclusive limited edition pieces for holiday 2010.
