Not to go off on a tangent or anything, but while I was looking for cheap ripped jeans, I discovered that Levis makes a pair of boyfriend jeans for…wait for it…
… $248!!!!!!!!!
I’m sorry, but why? Am I the only one who was under the misconception that Levis made affordable denim??? Geez!!!!! Why would I pay $248 for a pair of Levis when I can get Current/Elliott jeans for $229?
Anyway…… I found another pair of bleach washed Boyfriend Jeans from American Eagle for $39.50 and a cute pair of Destroyed Skinny Crop Jeans and Ripped Boy Fit Jeans, both for $49.50.
So if you want to get on board with the ripped jeans trend, there are definitely some affordable options out there. And the good things is, anyone can wear this trend. You don’t have to be a stick figure to make this trend work. Boyfriend style ripped jeans look good on all shapes and sizes. If you need plus-sizes, you’re in luck because Torrid has a Light-Wash Rolled-Cuff Boyfriend Denim Jean for $52.00. They are really cute!
Because ripped jeans make such a big statement, keep the rest of your outfit simple. A basic tee and flip flops or gladiator sandals are the way to go. You can also wear a simple pair of flats. Be careful not to overdo it with accessories either. Simple earrings, no necklace, and a neutral woven belt works best.
