Now if there are even any of you old-fashion, maxi-pad-using gals left out there, you’ll want to hear me out. And even if you’re an avid tampon lover, you might just want to convert…

Finally a company that makes feminine products has finally gotten their crap together and made a pad that actually works. And for me, the biggest surprise was that it’s from Always. Yes, the same cheap bastards that tell us to have a “happy period”. I can’t even begin to tell you how much that gets on my nerves…

But since trying their new Infinity Maxi Pad, my disgust with Always is fading…

As soon as you take it out of the package, you can tell it’s totally different. It’s soft, supple, and really thin. I was thinking, no way this thing is going to hold more than a regular pad. Boy was I surprised though. I put it on the morning I started my period (first period since giving birth over 15 months ago!!) and expected to have to change it after an hour or two, but to my surprise, I didn’t have to. When normally I would be running to get a fresh, clean pad, I wasn’t with this one. I felt dry and clean, like I wasn’t even having my period.

And unlike other pads, you won’t cringe when you look at this one. Because the unique design of this pad wicks the “moisture” down into the pad, the top doesn’t look gross like your ordinary pad does. I don’t know where it all went, but these pads are amazing. I don’t even know how this material is so absorbent. I actually wondered if the pad had a leak somewhere! lol Of course it didn’t… It’s just amazingly absorbent.

And the pad is so slim and trim, I didn’t even notice it. I usually use Always panyliners for everyday freshness and this new maxi pad isn’t any thicker than those. Plus, the wings actually work. I don’t know if other women have this problem, but I am forever getting the wings stuck to my thighs or bunched up and then my underwear aren’t even protected. I think the design of most wings are completely flawed. They either aren’t sticky enough or shaped totally wrong.

Well, not only did Always make the perfectly absorbent pad, but they finally figured out how to design WINGS! I could seriously hug however made this pad…
