After finding success with those expansions, in 2018, Saghian decided to start making clothes for men. With over 500 styles for men, they launched the line and started making sales immediately. In September of 2020, they expanded even further with the launch of their Fashion Nova Kids line. But they didn’t stop there.
In October 2020, Fashion Nova released its first makeup line, venturing into the beauty industry. People were so excited to hear that Maven Beauty was launching!
What is Maven Beauty?
Maven Beauty is a pro-makeup line that Fashion Nova has been working on for several years. In 2018, they announced that they were going to be releasing a beauty line, Nova Beauty. This was widely anticipated, but it never arrived.
Fashion Nova spent the whole of 2019 building a team, sourcing for ingredients and materials, testing the technology, and developing these products, making sure that they are of top quality. According to Richard Saghian, the brand is committed to creating high-quality formations in different palettes and shades that everyone can use regardless of skin type or color.
Saghian, in an interview, said that Fashion Nova has always celebrated diversity, body positivity, all forms of beauty, and will continue to do so. It’s at the core of why they developed Maven Beauty.

2. Maven Lipsticks –
Most times, you don’t finish your makeup without giving your lips a luscious look by applying some color. Maven beauty comes with demi-matte lipsticks in five different shades. We like the red velvet color best because of the finished look it gives. With these lipsticks, you don’t need to layer your lips with a feather or bleed when you want to reapply them. They cost $14.
3. Basic Beat Cream Eyeshadow –
This is another eyeshadow that does something different from the one above. This creamy eye shadow is mixed with lavender to give an anti-wrinkle effect and also as a facelift. You can decide to use this eye shadow as a base when doing your makeup or you can wear it on its own if you’re going for a more natural look. It costs $13.
4. Maven Highlighter –
The Maven Highlighter is created using a wet-tech procedure, resulting in a wet gel that you can use on your face and body to give you a flawless look. It costs $5.
5. Maven Waterproof Liquid Liner –
The Maven Waterproof liquid liner contains an eyeliner and a brush applicator. The delivery system of this liner allows you to apply it in a way that nothing is wasted. So, your eyeliner remains fresh after every application. This waterproof liner can also serve as an eye shadow. It costs $14.
6. Maven Pro Artistry Brushes –
