  1. I was on water diet few months ago and it did help me lose weight and I am maintaining it so far..But, I am tempted to try Dukan diet..Will be watching your progress…Keep us updated on you can maintain the weight loss…

  2. Wow – well done! You must be so proud!
I’m also on the Dukan – only a few days after you really, day 13 today, and I’m quite chuffed with a 6 pound loss so far (9 – 10 to go hopefully!) but my weight stagnated in second week, just like yours, it was only this morning that I saw a drop and then only 0.6kg. But it’s all moving in the right direction and I suppose we don’t have much to lose so it’s maybe more difficult ;-)
Please keep posting as I’d love to see how you’re getting on – you’re my inspiration now!

    1. Hi Melanie! Thanks for leaving a comment!!

Congrats on your success with Dukan so far! I’m still at 121 today, which is 7 pounds down from when I started. So exciting! If someone had told me I could lose 7 pounds in 2 weeks I would have scoffed! I want to lose about 7 more (hopefully) so I can get back to at least my pre-pregnancy weight. I don’t have any hopes of getting back down to my original weight of 105lbs…

I screwed up yesterday…. I had vegetables on my pure protein day because my in laws are here and I have been on bed-rest for 4 days due to a horrible infection in my leg so I couldnt go grocery shopping. I’m going to try to get back on track today… It’s a PV day but I think I’m going to do 2 PP days in a row to make up for my 2 PV days in a row. My coach recommended the 1/1 rhythm for me. Which one are you doing?

The last 5-10 pounds are always the hardest so keep the faith! Just a small amount of exercise really helps me too…. everyday I do 20 situps, 20 pushups (on my knees), 20 leg lifts on each side and then 20 butt lifts (lay on your back with knees bent and feet flat on floor and then lift your butt up and back down again). Takes like 5 minutes and in 2 weeks you look like you work out all the time! It’s doing wonders for me… Plus the 20 minute walk Dukan recommend really help burn the calories and drinking cold water with your meal too!

Let me know how you are doing today!

      1. Hi there – hope no update means good news and you’re out shopping for smaller clothes ;-)
I’m going well – past the two week mark now… Feels great to already be fitting into clothes I haven’t worn for MONTHS! 6 pounds doesnt sound like a lot but it’s the difference in skirts digging in and now gliding on ;-)
I’m doing the 1 day PP, 1 day PV plan – but I am being a bit flexible, for example I am out tomorrow night so am saving my PV day for tomorrow so I can have tuna steak and green beans. Omnomnomnom.
I go to the gym most days, I didn’t in the attack period, but I usually do and checked with the Dukan book (bible) and if it’s not it of the ordinary it’s supposed to be ok.
It is tough dealing with the ‘why are you dieting?’ comments… It’s such a personal thing. I have a whole wardrobe full of size 4 ( I used to work for Donna Karan & Ralph Lauren and I INVESTED in some nice things, that’s how I like to justify it to myself anyway ) and I just want to feel like the old me again and be happy in a bikini for my trip to Australia later this year…
I’m really much happier on the Dukan diet than I thought I would be. I’m not hungry. I do wonder if I’m eating enough actually! I read about some people on Dukan who are shedding weight and they talk about eating half a chicken with a steak followed by a 500g tub of natural yogurt. Pretty impressive but hey, If it’s working then more power to them! ;-)

        1. Hey Melanie,

Yeah I was out of commission for a few days with the Cellulitis, but I’m back on my feet now!

Dear me, no no no I do not need to shop for smaller clothes!!! lol I have SO MANY CLOTHES I could literally open a store. Everything from size 2 to size 14. I’m fitting back into size 4 now so I brought out the box of size 4 shorts and have happily been wearing them all week. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!

I got down to 120lbs (my first goal) so now I can say 5 more pounds to go! I am pumped!!!!!

ME TOO! I am way happier on the Dukan Diet than I thought I would be. I’m not hungry, the carb cravings went away after only like 4 days and although I still miss eating some foods, esp when I see other people eating them, I mostly miss it for social reasons like “Hey lets go out and get an ice cream after we see fireworks” type deal. But I am staying strong.

The most I have wavered from the diet is eating out… I’ve had fat free (although not sugar free) dressing on a salad on my PV day. And it’s hard to get things grilled without knowing if they are using oil or butter in their marinades. And one day I had a shot of tequila….. My in laws were over for FIVE DAYS. It was needed….

I too wonder if I am eating enough! Like today, I had 2 eggs with smoked salmon for breakfast, for lunch I had a chicken breast and 5 grilled shrimp at TGIF, and for dinner I had a bowl of greek yogurt with a little bit of Dukan chocolate powder, stevia and oat bran. SO YUMMY. That is my daily treat. Have you tried the Dukan choc powder?????

Would you mind if I emailed you?! :-)

  3. I hope your doing well on the diet. After reading about your progress I went out and bought the book and cook book. I’m signing up for coaching on monday! I’m 132 5’4′ and it say’s I can get down to 121 on 30 day’s. I was hoping for 115 but I’ll take what I can get. I haven’t seen any updates on your site I hope your still losing, dress shopping look like a good sign :)

    1. Kandace, I am SO delighted to hear that!!!! Let me know if you’d like to personally stay in touch via email so we can support each other.

I wanted to get down to 110 but my Dukan “true weight” is 114. I guess I can live with that.

I am SO excited for you!! You are going to LOVE the attack phase. It’s super exciting watching the numbers on the scale go down almost every day for the first week. I did the attack phase one day longer than I was supposed to, too….

I would love to stay in touch and help encourage you on your journey. Let me know if it would be ok for me to email you. :-)
