I’m so excited that Georgetown Cupcake is coming to the West Coast this fall – you can best I’ll be heading to their L.A. location after having the opportunity to sample some of the delicious confections they offer.
I was sent a dozen assorted cupcakes, and while I won’t review them all here I do want to mention some of my favorites. The cupcakes didn’t come with a list of flavors, unfortunately, so I had to look them up – but here are my favorites, in no particular order.
- Salted Caramel – Anything with the words “salted” and “caramel” are going to get my sweet tooth salivating, and this cupcake did not disappoint. The cupcake was actually caramel flavored, and the icing was to DIE for. Plus, they added a sweet caramel drizzle on top – perfection!
- PB Fudge – Peanut butter and chocolate is always a winning flavor combination, and this was no exception. Honestly, I would have been happy with a half dozen of these! A chocolate cupcake is topped with yummy peanut butter icing and a fudge drizzle on top, but the sweet spot – literally – is the gooey chocolate fudge inside the cupcake. Heavenly!
- Cookies and Cream – A vanilla cupcake topped with an Oreo-infused buttercream frosting and Oreo crumbles? Sign me up! This was rich, delicious and tastes exactly like what you’d expect – amazing.
Honestly, it was hard picking only a few favorites because all of the cupcakes were exceptionally moist, rich and absolutely delicious. It’s rare for me to rave about sweets – especially cupcakes – but I am literally amazed at how delicious these were. I would happily indulge in one of these gourmet treats again. After looking at all of the available flavors online, I can’t wait to try the Cinnamon cupcake and the Honey Banana. If the dozen cupcakes I was sent are any indication, those two flavors will be just as delicious.
You can visit Georgetown Cupcake online to see all of the to-die-for flavors yourself. I highly recommend them!
