Now that we are in the last couple of weeks of December, the New Year is probably on a lot of your minds. Soon, the holidays will be in the past, and January will be here, with an empty slate, just waiting for us to take charge of what the New Year will hold for us. If you are setting goals for yourself to make 2022 great and productive, here are a few ways to help knock your New Year’s resolutions out of the park โ
Know what you want
When you set your goals for the year, you have to really know what you want because if you do not, you will more than likely fail. Think long and hard about what you truly want out of this next year. Is it progress in your career? Health for your family? Love in your life? Less stress? Whatever it might be, think long and hard about it!
Have a support system

No matter if you are trying to stick with a New Years resolution, or any other goal in your life, you need a support system. A support system looks differently depending on who you are and what you need. For example, your family can be support team #1 and your gym friends could be support team #2 if you are trying to get in better shape. If you need help staying positive and stress-free, or if you are working through other issues like guilt or even regret, you could have a support team #3 that helps specifically with your goals and mental health. Pure Hypnosis | Sean Wheeler has been that support team for so many of his clients, helping them through tough times and breaking through many issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, nail biting, personal performance, sports performance, and eating disorders. Plus, so many other issues, too. He also offers weight loss hypnotherapy in Atlanta for those needing to lose weight. Sean Wheeler uses proven methods, he has amazing reviews, and he has been featured on The Bert Show, 11Alive, and more. He is Atlantaโs best-known and best reviewed hypnotherapist (over 100 5-star reviews on Google alone) and has performed more than 13,000 sessions with 3,000 clients, so heโs ready to help you out, too.
Donโt burn yourself out
Pushing yourself too hard, or setting too many goals is a definite way to burn yourself out. Like I mentioned above, set smaller, attainable goals throughout the year, leading up to a bigger goal to meet by the end of the year. Let yourself have breaks, let yourself have fun times, and donโt push yourself too hard. If you have a set back, that is okay – take a break, breathe, and then start again. You can do this!
Celebrate your successes
I believe one of the reasons many people do not succeed in their New Year’s resolution is because they set a goal that may be so far in the future, they have no checks and balances that allow them to

Write them down

Writing down your goals and going public with them increases your chances of successfully achieving them significantly. Not only does writing everything down help you create a clear vision on what you actually want to achieve, but it also helps you remember your goals more, compared to when you do not write them down, because it is motivating and pushes you to take action. While social media is not always good, it is good in this sense. If you write down your goals and share them with the โworldโ (aka. your social media circle), and continuously update them on your progress, it will push you harder so that you can post positive updates.
Let me give an example. Letโs say that Tricia posts on Instagram that she wants to lose 10 pounds and gain a lot of muscle by December. She posts her workout and meal prepping each day to 1) keep herself accountable and 2) motivate those that might be in a similar boat. As Tricia is doing this, she will more than likely get words of positivity from those watching her post. If they are in the same boat, they can bond over the struggles, too. Verbalizing her wins and struggles helps her stay positive and keep moving forward. Danielle, on the other hand, is trying to reach the same goal, but she hasnโt publicly announced that. She struggles just as much as Tricia, but it is harder to stay on track because she doesnโt have a support team. In these two scenarios, Tricia has a much better chance at reaching her goal by December – and staying positive along the way. So, as you make goals and try to crush them, write them down and post about them! I promise – it will be so much easier with a great support system cheering you on along your journey.
