Shoes to Inspire a Transition to Spring

Here we are in the middle of the winter that isn’t, and all I can think about is my spring wardrobe. I’m having visions of flowers and and bright prints and Missoni style zig zags. I think I’m getting inspired by all the green things than keep popping up in my yard as we alternate sub freezing days with balmy ones with temps in the 50s. Well, at least some things are consistent, like seasonal style transitions. So if you want to get a jump start on your spring style, because it will officially be spring before we know it, here are some of my favorite shoes, available at DSW.com.

I love the bright print on this platform sandal. The red and beige colors would work with a lot of different neutrals, and would look really cute with a bright circle skirt.

Madden Girl Crafty Wedge $44.95 at DSW

I love the tropical theme of this shoe, which is just begging to be paired with a pair of white skinny jeans and a sheer black top.

Madden Girl Mellony Zig Zag $44.95 at DSW

These pumps remind me of Missoni without the designer price tag. I’d wear these with a pair of cuffed boyfriend jeans and a grey T with an orange or navy cardigan.

Naya ‘Samara’ Ankle Wrap Eco-Friendly Sandals

These sandals aren’t just pretty, they are earth friendly too! Made from vegetable leather and a bamboo heel. Naya is an environmentally friendly brand that is offering fashionable footwear that feels good and is good for the earth too.

These sandals are soft and supple with feminine pleating and attention to detail. On trend and elegant, these easy to wear sandals are beautiful on your feet and surprisingly comfortable to the step. I love the soft leather insole that is cushioned in all the right places.

The ankle wrap is roomy and it doesn’t give you cankles! I have pretty thick, muscular ankles and these are loose on me and actually make my ankles look thinner. Even if they were tight, they would still fit because it is elasticized! The inside of the ankle wrap is lined in soft tribal print cotton that is lightweight so it’s not hot on summer days.

The back comes up a little too high for me, so I think with extended wear, the back of my ankle may get irritated, but I would have to wear them for more than a few hours to find out. That would be the only downside I have found so far. Other than that, they are fabulous!

This picture does NOT do them justice! My poor little toes haven’t seen sunshine in six months so they look terrible. Don’t mind them… Just look at the beautiful sandals!

Overpriced? No. I’ve seen lots of other sandals and heels in this price range that aren’t half as nice as these. Not to mention that these sandals are eco-friendly…
