Don’t let the slow economy cut into your hair care routine. While we are all trying to cut back on unnecessary expenses, but getting a hair stylist you don’t trust just because they cost less, or buying cheaper shampoo that might ruin your coloring isn’t the answer.
You can do simple things to cut back without compromising your style.
Start by not washing your hair everyday. Washing your hair every other day will allow you to use half the amount of shampoo and conditioner, plus your hair will be healthier because you won’t be stripping the natural, healthy oils off your hair every single day.
Most stylist tell you to come back between 3 and 5 weeks in order to maintain a style. You can save a lot of money in 1 year by just waiting an extra week between appointments. I usually go every 4-6 weeks.
Save money on electricity by getting a hairstyle that doesn’t require you to blow dry it or use any other electric hair styling tools. A medium length haircut that you can use a gel, scrunch and let air dry is ideal for summer!
Here’s my Hair Care Routine…
1. Brush Hair
-
A no brainer, right? Funny thing is, most people don’t brush their hair. Did you know that brushing keeps your hair tangle free and distributes the natural, healthy oils throughout the hair? This promotes healthy growth and shine, which is what we all want!
-
I usually wash my hair in the morning, right after I wake up. It’s probably the only time of the day when I know I can get about 30 minutes to myself because my daughter is still sleeping! In April I tried out the AVEENO® NOURISH+ MOISTURIZE and loved how soft it made my hair! If you’re looking for something new and natural, you should definitely try the new Aveeno hair care products.
3. Dry Hair
-
When I get out of the shower, I always put my hair in a Hair Turban
4. Style Hair
-
I finish the look with a product that will add shine like Enjoy Shine & Smooth. Then I lightly spritz it with hair spray.
And I guess that’s it. Now I want to know…
What’s your hair care routine ladies?
