Tea Collection is a diverse children’s clothing line inspired by the beauty found in cultures around the world. Tea Collection offers fabulous clothes “for little citizens of the world.”
Tea started in 2002 in San Francisco with three pima cotton sweaters. Now, they offer two full assortments, Tea Collection and Daily Tea, available in more than 400 stores including Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Takashimaya, and the best boutiques throughout the US and abroad.
I recently got the opportunity to review a couple items from their new Fall collection!
My daughter is now three years old but I find that most children’s clothes in size 3T are WAY too big on her… If I buy clothes for her at Wal Mart, Target or even stores like Gap and Old Navy, I have to purchase 2T for her and even then, sometimes she’s swimming in it. The other day I put a size 12-18 months dress on her and it fit perfectly!! Sizes are so messed up!
I’m a petite 5’3″ and so my daughter is naturally on the small side as well, but not to the extreme you would think after hearing she comfortably fit in a size 12-18 months dress!!!! Really, I think that most of today’s clothing companies are trying to accommodate the growing rate of obesity in children in this country. Foreign clothing lines fit my daughter perfectly, while US clothing usually run much, much larger.
Being a worldwide company, I find that Tea Collection clothing is more reliable when it comes to sizing. I was absolutely delighted that the clothes we got from Tea Collection to review actually fit my daughter perfectly in her own size.
|Bandana Lace Print Dress – $ 39.00
Soft poplin pattern inspired by the intricate lace bandanas worn in the Hungarian countryside. Easy pull-over elastic neck and smocking detail. Sizes 6-24 months include bloomer. Imported.
|Slim Denim Knit Pants – $ 39.00
Our soft knit pants look like skinny denim. Easy pull-on styling with ankle zippers on sizes 2-12yrs. Imported.
Both items are absolutely adorable on her and I’m super impressed with the styling and the quality. I noticed they do have some women’s clothes as well, but I wish they had a bigger selection. Hopefully in the future they will expand!
I’m definitely going to be purchasing more clothing for my daughter from Tea Collection now that I know the fit is perfect for my daughter and they are so high quality that it’s really a bummer that kids outgrow their clothes so fast because these things would last for years otherwise!
I highly recommend Tea Collection, especially if you normally have a problem with clothes being baggy on your slim and fit kids!
