I believe that it is vital to watch what you put on your skin. Your skin is a major organ and absorbs whatever you put on it into your bloodstream and your body’s tissues. Your poor skin is exposed to toxic ingredients all the time, whether it’s your dish soap, laundry detergent, household cleaning products, lotions and even sunscreen. Even when you are trying to do the best by your body in some areas, you may not think about certain products you use daily that can effect your health. At least I didn’t…
After some careful research and thoughtful consideration, I realized while I like my name-brand dish detergent A LOT, it contains ingredients that are not only potentially harmful, but nothing I would want to eat – therefore (ideally) should not be on my skin!
It took lots of trial and error to find natural and organic liquid soaps that actually work for me and my family, so I wanted to share with you my findings and save you some time and money!
Kiss My Face Peace Soap
Combining organic olive oil with coconut, hemp and jojoba oils for luxurious lather and mildness, Kiss My Face has created a totally pleasurable cleaning experience- from head to toe, ceiling to floor, our castile soap cleans skin and much more. Veggie, countertop, dishes or sweater, it does it all and it does it better.
I’ve used this for cleaning baby toys, vegetables, makeup brushes, fish tanks, dishes, dog bowls, kiddie pools and more. It washes everything without leaving a residue and I love that it’s natural! I got the Lemongrass Clary Sage to review, but it’s also available in other scents including Grassy Mint
, Lavender Mandarin
and Pomegranate Acai
.

Eco Clean Non-Toxic Dish Soap
Best. Find. Ever.
I tried lots of natural liquid dish soaps, trying to find one that was as good as my beloved Dawn Dishwashing Liquid, but all fell short until I tried Eco Clean Non-Toxic Dish Soap.
Most ‘natural’ soaps lack suds and lather and fail to cut grease and oil on dirty dishes. And if you aren’t blessed with a dish washer (I don’t mean your husband!) then you know that liquid dish soap is really, really important to your sanity. At least it is to mine! So I was totally surprised and absolutely delighted when I tried the Eco Clean dish soap and found that it actually works just as well as Dawn, but is non toxic and AND costs less!!!!!
Price: Between $3.49 and $4.49
Purchase: Alice.com and Duane Reade.
CleanWell Foaming Hand Soap
I received a quartet of CleanWell foaming hand soaps to review about a month ago. My first thought was, “What am I going to do with all this hand soap?!” I quickly learned that I would completely fall in love with it and use it everyday!

CleanWell is all natural and non-toxic. It is made from rapidly renewable botanical sources and is part of a sustainable solution.
