Taking healthy food means your diet should have nutrients, major food groups, and a balanced diet. A healthy diet includes replacing meals that contain trans fats, saturated salt, and sugar with better options.

When you take a healthy diet, you will be gaining a lot of health benefits. These benefits include preventing diseases like diabetes, maintaining strong bones and teeth, protecting the heart, and boosting your mood.

Get to know more of these health benefits to understand why doctors recommend you be cautious with what you eat.

1.     Protect Your Heart

Your heart is very crucial because it pumps blood to your whole body. You will find most people on social media. If you are on platforms such as Twitter, you will read a lot of threads about heart diseases. You can buy Twitter likes to add your visibility on that platform. 

That way, you will get updates on every heart disease story. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that cases of heart disease have been the main cause of so many deaths. 

Thus, you have to be cautious about the food you eat because you will end up suffering from chronic heart diseases such as cardiovascular disease or end up losing your life. 

Other chronic heart diseases related to unhealthy food include hypertension, heart failure, heart attack, and even stroke. You can prevent these diseases when you mind your health as well as other lifestyle behaviors. 

Read through some healthy diets that prevent heart diseases and follow up with your doctor for more recommendations.

2. Lowers Your Risks of Getting Cancer

Cancer has become one of the chronic diseases that occur when cells start dividing uncontrollably and spreading to other tissues. The main cause of cancer occurs when there is a change in the DNA. No permanent vaccine has been approved against cancer.

However, you can avoid getting it by taking healthy meals. If you eat antioxidants, you will reduce the chances of getting cancer because it protects the cells from contracting the disease.

When there are so many free radicals in your body, there will be an increased chance of contracting the disease. However, the antioxidants decrease these chances. You can follow up about the disease and the healthy food to eat and avoid following up on reports from National Cancer Institute posted online.

3. Enhance Your Mood

When you are eating healthy food, you will be reducing the chances of being sick and hungry. There is also research on the relationship between healthy food and the human mood. 

Some researchers confirmed that when you take a diet with a high content of glycemic load, you will be triggering high chances of getting tired and depressed. When you take food with a high glycemic load, you will be taking a meal with refined carbohydrates. 

However, if you suspect that you are suffering from depression, you should consult a doctor or a mental health expert.

4. Enhanced Gut Health

The colon is a very significant organ in the digestive system. It is because that is where naturally occurring bacteria are found. This bacterium plays a key role during digestion and metabolism. Some strains produce vitamin B and K, which are crucial to the colon.

It helps in preventing harmful viruses and bacteria. When you take a meal with low fiber content and a high concentration of fat and sugar, you will be altering the gut’s microbiome, leading to increased inflammation.   

5. Enhanced Memory

Having a good memory is crucial, especially to those conducting research and those studying. When you take a healthy diet, you will be maintaining your brain health and cognition. Other foods boost the brain’s function to be healthier.

6. Weight Loss

Being overweight is not good for your health because it attracts a lot of chronic diseases. You can also become obese, increasing risk factors such as heart disease, diabetes, poor bone density, and some types of cancer.

Avoid taking food that has a high content of calories and processed meals. Consider taking diets such as fruits, beans, and vegetables because it is healthy and reduces the chances of being overweight. 

Consider taking a free diet from processed food, which will help you maintain a healthy diet.

7. Gain Weight

As much as it is unhealthy to gain a lot of weight, you should also avoid being underweight. Also, some people desire to increase their weight maybe for the sake of enhancing their body shape. That is why they need to eat healthily and gain more weight.

On the other hand, others lose weight due to factors such as depression and diseases. You can take healthy diets that contain energy, such as seeds, nuts, and dried fruit. These meals can help you gain weight without going for other foods such as calories.

8. Manage Diabetes

When you take healthy foods, you will be managing the level of your blood glucose, managing the ranges of cholesterol and blood pressure, maintain moderate body weight, and preventing complications of diabetes. This diet is especially for those who have diabetes.

Patients who have diabetes should limit their intake of food with high salt and sugar concentration. Additionally, they should avoid fried food that has saturated fats.

9. Maintain Strong Teeth and Bones

Healthy food will help you maintain strong and healthy bones and teeth. Your food should consist of magnesium and calcium to make your bones and teeth strong and prevent diseases and issues such as osteoporosis. 

You can get calcium from milk and fortified cereals. Magnesium is available is mainly available in nuts, green vegetables, whole grains, and seeds.

10. Quality Sleep

When you eat healthy food, you will find enough sleep without disruptions such as insomnia and sleep apnea. You can experience sleep apnea when the airways get blocked repeatedly. Other risk factors include drinking alcohol, obesity, and eating unhealthy food.

You will gain many benefits when you take healthy foods, such as preventing diseases, gaining quality sleep, gaining and losing weight, among others. This little guy always asks to help when he sees me cleaning the house, washing the floors, doing laundry, or emptying the dishwasher. That’s what I love about Montessori parenting - it allows kids to do  big jobs and in turn makes them eager to help! 

He was over the moon when we gave him the @lovevery floor mop that actually works! He uses it daily now. The mopping pad is machine washable and you can refill the fluid container on it. I usually just do water and a drop of essential oils because he loves it when everything smells clean! 😜

Today was my due date for Dylan. Considering he w Today was my due date for Dylan.

Considering he was my 6th child, it's possible he would have been here by now. It’s been extra hard for me this week. 

Despite my best efforts to be strong and stay positive, I am completely brokenhearted. I’m just being honest. I could pretend I’m fine, but that doesn't do me or anyone else any good to be dishonest about the pain of miscarriage or the grief that comes with losing a child. 

My heart is completely shattered from having an empty womb and an empty nursery. An empty bassinet in the corner and unused tiny newborn outfits, all washed, folded, and ready… for nothing. 

It makes me physically sick to my stomach when I think about it all and I can't even fathom how I got here. How did I get here? 

This isn't how it's supposed to be! I should be holding a newborn right now! It’s so unfair. 

In an instant, my baby was gone and there was nothing I could do to change that. 

It doesn't matter how much time passes or what else happens in life, I will always miss him. My heart with always long for my baby. 

Those who haven't experienced loss tell you that "Don’t worry! Things will get better, just focus on the positive!" but people who actually know this grief and what it actually feels like to lose a baby, won’t tell you that. They know this hard road. They understand that unfortunately you don't just “get over it.” 

The grief doesn't just go away, even if you try to ignore it, it's still there. Like the sun. You don’t have to look at it to know it’s there. You can turn your back on it but it will still warm your skin. 

The grief from losing a child is unbearable. 
It is unpredictable.
It is unforgiving.
It is relentless.
It is all-consuming.
And it completely shatters you when you don’t expect it. 

You don’t get over it. You don’t forget. You simply learn to live with it. And I’m learning to live with it every day. 

It’s been 137 days I’ve had to live without my baby. 

Lord Jesus, please… hold me extra tight tonight.
