Whenever I get some “free time”, the first thing I like to do is grab my tablet, turn on the Kobo App and curl up on my recliner to read a book so I can decompress.
Personally, I’m not one to read fiction. My idea of a good read is Ina May Gaskin’s “Birth Matters” or “The Church of Mercy” by Pope Francis. Yeah, I know I’m dull! I just like to read things that are… constructive!
I can’t even remember when the last time was that I got lost in a good fiction story… Maybe after all the hustle and bustle of Christmas I will have time to read for pleasure. The first book on my Must-Read list is The Fault In Our Stars by John Greene. It’s #2 on the list of the top 10 books to read in 2014!
Here are the top 10 must-have books of 2014:
- Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
- Insurgent by Veronica Roth
- Allegiant by Veronica Roth
- Divergent by Veronica Roth
- The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
- Written in My Own Heart’s Blood by Diana Gabaldon
- The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
- The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty
- Philomena by Martin Sixsmith

When it’s time to sit down and read, everyone knows the easiest way to get to the end of a book nowadays is on a tablet or eReader like a Kobo device.
If you download the free Kobo app to your computer, tablet, and smartphone then all of your favorite books, including your bookmarks, will be synced up so you can start reading on one device and pick up right where you left off on another device making it easier than ever to finish that amazing book you just can’t put down.
I put the Kobo app on my iPhone, iPad, Acer Iconia Tab 8 tablet and my laptop too. It’s so easy to use that I’m actually inspired to start reading more books! That might be my New Year’s Resolution for 2015…
I found the Kobo store very easy to browse via the app. I can look through the top 50 eBooks of the day or search by category, author or topic.
