Another super interesting week on Project Runway, yes?ย Our designers reel about the usual judging process and then we are immediately thrown a loop. Hello Heidi Klum on stilts! The designers need to think BIG! The task: Create a look that is eye catching and larger than life… for a stilt walker. Oh and plus? Our designers are working in teams of two.
Right off the bat, we know that Bert and Viktor are not going to get along… well because they both immediately start bickering. Fallene and Bryce are paired with each other and both being in the bottom last week, they have reason to worry. And our pick for winning pair out of the gate are Anya and Olivier.
Our designers are working pretty well in teams, save Bert and Viktor who are fighting like little children.ย Anya and Olivier have Tim questioning their color choices. And Fallene is struggling with having no professional training… so much so that she is unable to finish the bodice of their garment… and is reduced to tears. Oh well, the show must go on.
Our designers send their models to hair and make-up, then are off to Battery Park for a public runway show with press and as promised, guest judge Kim Kardashian.
Judging is where this gets even more exciting.ย Our highest scoring designs were from Becky/Kimberly, Laura/Anthony Ryan and Cecelia. These looks were in the top because they were ready to wear. The judges chose Laura as the winner of this challenge (Anthony Ryan graciously let her take the immunity with no fight).
Our lowest scoring (and costumey) designers Bert/Viktor, Fallene/Bryce and Julie/Joshua. Viktor and Bert had it out on the runway while the other teams took their lumps like adults. Ultimately, the judges felt that Fallene really failed to bring on the fashion. We feel bad for Fallene, what to get kicked off in front of Kim Kardashian but we have to say Goodbye to someone every week, even the sweet ones.
Next week? The designers put together looks for Nina Garcia! Now that is something we cannot wait for!
