When Revlon introduced their new Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain’s, I knew I was going to have to pick one up to see what all the hype was about.
The shade I chose was Rendezvous, which is a bright orange. I am always drawn to vibrant colors, and this was no exception. I’ve rated the following attributes of this balm/stain based below.
- Pigmentation -The pigmentation of this shade was PHENOMENAL. Despite the bright orange hue, it didn’t look too garish against my fair skin, and instead was very flattering. I wore a complimentary lip gloss on top (Essence’s XXXL Shine Lip Gloss in Papaya Punch) for a bit of shimmer and shine and it looked very nice.
- Application – This balm/stain applied like a dream – very creamy and easy to use.
- Feel -Because this product combines the lasting power of a stain with the moisturizing feel of a lip balm, I was hopeful that this product would feel nice on my lips. My wish was granted! Despite its long-wearing claims, this felt very lightweight and didn’t dry out my lips or settle into fine lines. In fact, it felt just as moisturizing as my typical balm upon application.
- Longevity – Although the gloss I layered on top wore off quickly, the stain stayed put and was even difficult to take off completely at the end of the day! Sure, I needed touch up’s here and there – the stain didn’t fade evenly – but after washing my face at the end of the day, the stain left a very visible orange shade on my lips. Talk about lasting power!
Overall
Overall, I am thrilled with the performance of Revlon’s latest lip product. It lasted very well and was not only easy to apply, but felt comfortable on my lips. I can’t wait to pick up more shades of this collection.
