I had the pleasure of being able to try out Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy System and I was pleased with the results, so I wanted to share them with you!
I did the treatment to my hair on May 21 and it’s still looks great. It hasn’t been 30 days, but I haven’t seen the results fade in the last 3 weeks. Honestly, it didn’t make my hair stick straight, but my hair is definitely a LOT more manageable, silky, shiny, smooth and non frizzy. The results are pretty much identical to the Simply Smooth treatment I got in Feb 2010 at Cassandra Salon that cost nearly $400. The salon treatment I received did NOT last 4 months like they said it would… It lasted MAYBE a month and half… two months TOPS.
The Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy 30-Day Smoothing Treatment is like $15, plus Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo ($8)
, Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner ($8)
, styling products like the Flat Iron Spray ($8)
and Anti-Breakage Serum ($8)
altogether will be under $50 total. Even if you don’t have a hair straightener and have to buy a Ceramic Hair Straightening Iron
to get the job done, this will still cost you much less than getting a similar treatment in a salon.
I recommend getting someone else to straighten your hair for you after applying the product because it’s really tiring and time consuming to do each small piece of hair and make sure it’s totally straight. I did mine myself and it took me over an hour and my arms were exhausted when I was done!
Some reviews I read say that the product is stinky and that is true… It smells when you are straightening your hair and sealing the product onto your hair. Have a fan handy or do it outside if possible… Some people say that it smells bad every time they wash their hair but I completely disagree with that. It doesn’t smell at all! I use the shampoo and conditioner that goes with this system and my hair smells great! Kinda like… hazelnuts or something. If you are used to your hair smelling like fruit (Pantene, Herbal Essence, etc) then this set might smell a little strange to you, but personally I like it.
I have red/auburn hair and lots of it. It was pretty time consuming to apply the product to my mid-back length hair, but it was worth it. The results are great! Silky, shiny, no frizz and only very minimal waviness left. It did not change the color or tone of my hair, only the texture. I’m really happy with the results…
I took this picture right after I straightened my hair. It looks dull because the straightening product is still on my hair. You have to leave it in for at least 48 hours after applying it and straightening your hair. It’s CRUCIAL that you do not get your hair wet, moist, bent, kinked, or anything during the time. It’s sealing onto your hair during this time and it’s best to keep hair as smooth as possible during this time. Don’t pull it back, don’t tuck it behind your ears, don’t put it in a scrunchie or a clip. Just leave it alone for 2 days! It will drive you absolutely NUTS but it’s worth it…
After you wash it out for the first time, you’ll feel the results in the shower. Soft, silky, lighter, smoother and less tangled. I highly recommend using the Organix shampoo and conditioner that goes with this system for best results.
The Organixยฎ collection is available for around $7.99 each at mass retailers, including Target, Walgreens, CVS/Pharmacy and Walmart.
