New! Make Up Forever Uplight Review

Achieving sexy, glowing skin for spring has never been easier! This new illuminating gel from Make Up Forever can work as a highlight to give skin radiance that appears to come from within! You can apply it anywhere, from lids to cheeks and browbones.

This works for any skin tone, and is available in 8 different shades with three different finishes: Dewy, pearly, and sparkling.  The dewy and pearly gels are formulated with Make up Forever Star Powder for an iridescent glow, while the sparkling gels are made with Make Up Forever Diamond Powder for a subtle shimmer. You can mix Uplight into foundation or a cream blush for an all-over luminous glow.

Uplight is comprised of more than 70% water so it stays light on the skin for all day lasting glow. Uplight also contains mango butter, but no oil so you’ll get hydration without the greasy “you need a shower” after-effect of typical highlights.

I was sent a sample of this in sparkling copper, and it is beyond excellent! Here is how I wore it:

I applied a primer to my face and then apply uplight to my cheek bones. Then I applied a medium coverage foundation over top and finished with a light powder.

I swear, it looked like someone turned lights on under my skin. Uplight is a lovely highlight if you know how to use it. The sparkling gels are shimmery enough to go on top, but if you want to tone down the sparkle, put it underneath or with your foundation.

My verdict: Uplight is perfect for all skin tones and I recommend it to anyone looking to add a bit of glow to their spring and summer make-up.
