I took the aqua-colored device out of the box and marveled at the impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. This unit is truly a work of art. However, at first glance, I couldn’t even tell which end was the oven and which end was the mouthpiece. Nor could I figure out how to even turn the unit on. Well, at least this meant it was very discreet! I knew that it must be quite simple to use because it didn’t come with instructions. (Very reminiscent of an Apple product.) I think I’m just too old to figure this new fangled stuff out.
I decided to visit the Pax website for further instructions. I quickly realized that indeed the unit is very easy to use, just as I suspected!
On one end is the flat mouthpiece that features “lip-sensing technology” that purportedly optimizes heat and vapor production. The power switch is a small push button that is located in the center of the flat, little mouthpiece. When the unit is turned on, a little 4 leaf light rotates and pulsates in different colors on the front of the unit, letting you know whether the unit is on/off, heating up (it has 4 settings), when it’s ready to use, when it’s conserving battery and its current battery life. After further online investigation, I learned that it also has hidden games! It takes less than a minute to fully heat up, at which point the light turns green and the unit is ready for use. How simple and quick is that?
On the other end of a the unit is a magnetic lid that (once you figure it out) makes it very easy to access the “oven” and makes filling the device and cleaning it a snap. The unit charges with a USB cord and magnetic charging cradle. It takes just a couple hours to fully charge and a gentle shake makes the unit tell you what it’s current battery life is. It truly is the iPhone of vaporizers.
I found that the Pax 2 heats up quickly to your preferred setting, has an easy draw, and most importantly, a consistent flavor. It really is fool proof. At just 4″ long, this snappy little device easily slips into your pocket or purse.
