  1. You look amazing but you did before the weight loss. You look fab in both pics. I also lost 20 pounds but on a calorie diet. The problem with these all these diets is keeping the weight off. Whatever diet you are on must become a lifestyle and once you start to deviate the weight begins to return and a lot quicker than it took to loose it. Fortunately for you….you look good in both side by side pics!!!! I am back to starving….the only thing that works for me but I reward myself with cupcakes! Xo

      Yes, the diet definitely HAS to become your new lifestyle. With this particular diet, you have to have ONE day, every week where you eat ONLY lean proteins and non fat dairy products. It’s the secret to the diet and staying thin forever. You should try this diet because it’s SO much easier than starving… That’s what I used to do too…. You can try just eating lean proteins whenever you are hungry. Chicken and fish are my snacks…. Protein helps you lose water weight and burns fat. And makes you feel full!

      I do miss cupcakes a little bit, but every once in a while I have ONE BITE of things I miss and just having the taste is satisfying enough so that I don’t have to binge.

    I’ve been eating a paleo diet and lost 10 lbs in the last few weeks. Sounds like it’s similar to the Dukan diet.

  3. Wow! I cant believe you lost a lot of pounds in 8 weeks! Did you have to ask a doctor if you could start right away ? I am so excited to get that book and also try it on my own!

    1. I checked with my doctor just to be sure this was ok for me because I am still nursing my 23 month old son. If you have any health issues, I would check with your doctor first, quick phone call. Otherwise, GO FOR IT!!!! It’s the BEST thing I ever did for myself!!!!! You won’t regret it!!!!!!

  4. Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog today and I’m extremely interested in more info about this diet! What exactly does this diet consist of? Is it just certain things you can and can’t eat or is there an exercise plan also? I have the Zaggora Hot Pants also! But I’ve been slacking on wearing them (it’s been too hot) I would definitely love to hear more about this diet, I’ve been busting my butt with a trainer for 3 months and STILL haven’t lost any weight! I’ve fluctuated 2-3lbs. I’m getting so frustrated and don’t know what to do anymore! My family is all very over weight, so it’s a constant battle of the genes to stay at a somewhat healthy weight. Any info would be helpful. I’ve checked out the website, but it was very vague until you’ve paid for it. I want to see what I’m getting myself into before I spend $75.

      The Dukan Diet is similar to Atkins. You start off with proteins and non fat dairy products for the first week. It’s easier than it sounds! The hardest part for me was the carb cravings, which subsided after the first few days. After that, you go to phase two which consists of said proteins and non fat dairy along with vegetables and you alternate these two back and forth for several weeks during which time you drop all the weight. Once you’ve reached your “true weight” as calculated by Dukan, you move on to phase three which makes your body memorize that weight. You can eat fruits and some grains, etc that are added into your diet mainly so you stop losing weight and don’t waste away. That’s the phase I’m in right now.

      The exercising is really simple and I did more than was required most days… I have a stair stepper in my basement that I used at least 4x a week. The main recommendation is walking 25-45 minutes a day which was easy for me as well because I put my son to nap in a stroller and walking him daily is already part of my routine! If you have a personal trainer, I would definitely keep that up while on the diet!

      You’re SUPPOSED to wear the HotPants while it’s hot out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That makes them work even better!!!!! I wear a loose skirt on top so it doesn’t look like I’m running around in spandex and I just leave them on all day long, regardless of what I’m doing. They definitely work, you just have to WEAR them!! lol

      DO TAKE THE PLUNGE!!! At least buy the book if nothing else. Although the coaching is very affordable… less than $5/week. I highly recommend this diet, esp if nothing else is working for you. Nothing else was working for ME! But this diet changed my life. I am soooo happy now and it’s been easy to maintain my new weight, even with occasional slip ups. You just have to love being “skinny” more than you love food!!!!!! It’s so worth it…
