Halloween is only 2 weeks away, which means if you haven’t planned your costume, you better get with the program!
I spent Columbus Day shopping for costumes with my children and was pleased that there was still a decent selection available in stores, but realized that if we didn’t get everything we needed, that in a week it would be a struggle to find it. ย We have spent far too many hours and far too much money in the last days of Octobers past, trying to pull together the perfect Trick-or-Treat look. ย A little pre-panning and a dose of creative energy and you too can have the perfect ย costume. ย This is what we found this year:
Lady Gaga tops the list for girls and women’s costumes. You can pull off a Lady Gaga look with a few simple accessories that you probably already have at home and some bold use of your make-up collection. ย Think black eyeliner, red-red lipstick and tin foil…
Avatar costumes also top the best seller list this year:

This too is a look you can achieve with only a few inexpensive accessories, available at many stores like Target and CVS. ย Some blue grease paint, a few strategically placed hair extensions with beads, and a tail made out of a length of rope covered with blue masking tape and everyone will think you hail straight from Pandora.
Alice In Wonderland, Mad Hatter the ubiquitous witch and skeleton costumes were also flying out of the store. ย Our costumes for this year include a Greek Goddess (naturally!), a skeleton and a random animal from Where The Wild Things Are.
What will YOU be wearing this year?
