Fall Trends: Camouflage
With Military Style trending big for fall, many designers are showcasing camouflage. Depending on your style, you might incorporate this trend with a tank or even a blazer. For me, though, this look is all about accessories, which is the easiest way to wear it.
A couple of tricks for sporting camo:
- Remember that you can highlight any of the colors in the pattern. In a traditional camo print that’s typically black, olive, khaki, and brown. Focus on one or two of those shades and play around with different solid-colored items to see how they change the look of the camo.
- Keep it fun. Wear unexpectedly feminine elements– like sassy color, soft silhouettes, or pretty shoes— with this ultra-masculine print.
Here are a few pieces I like along with quick thoughts about how to wear them via Polyvore.
Juicy Couture Camouflage Crossbody Bag at Bloomingdales.com ($128 marked to $76.80)
Shown with Old Navy ruched tee, ASOS Becca Boyfriend Jeans, Banana Republic Cotton Motorcycle Jacket, Chloe Ballerina Flats, and black scarf.

MICHAEL by Michael Kors Large Camo Satchel at Dillards.com ($328)
Shown with Suzy Chin Maggy Boutique Dress, Seychelles Pumps, Calico Juno Designs Bracelet, and Anne Sportun Ring.
Right now, I’m seriously crushing on this bag. It’s such a great shape and size, and I love the soft way the camouflage is rendered. Too bad it’s way more than I want to spend on this item. Guess I’ll either wait for a sale or keep scouting for something similar at a lower price…
So will you be visiting camo country this fall? And if so, how will you wear it?
Trying to be in style and age appropriate for me, I think I will go for a camouflage scarf
jean jacket, and khaki’s. I would hate to miss out on a trend !
Camo clothing is tough for me, but camo accessories are just right! I love military jackets though, and have been wearing them for years. i think the huge trend to beat this year will be the camo scarf, it’s everywhere!
Camouflage is a trend that comes into style as quickly as it fades every few seasons. I always see some kind of military style from season to season. Currently, cargos have become a staple in most wardrobes and I see many people wearing designer “military like” boots. I like to stick to the military basics, I am not a fan of the camouflage look. Thanks for sharing.
