Fall 2010 Shoe Trends: Square Toes
If you have trouble finding a pointy-toed shoe that’s comfortable and feel round toes aren’t flattering, you’re in luck this season! Square-toed loafers, flats, and pumps are a great compromise, and they’re back in fashion in a big way.
You can color me delighted, since I find this style both comfortable and fabulous. It’s a perfect complement to the the trousers and pencil skirts that are currently popular. As an added plus, this preppy staple has a timeless feel– regardless of whether it’s strictly on trend. So give yourself permission to invest if you find a perfect pair. A few I like:
I prefer square or round over pointy, I never liked the pointy shoes at all and am glad to see something else coming back in
What happened to comfort with style! We women want a refreshing blast from a simpler time, such as boyfriend pants and shirts. Annie Hall cuteness and style. Head turning fashion without all the super high heels or pointed or square toe on our shoes.
Time for a change! The fall fashions for 2010 are ridiculous, I know artistic minds are trying to change things but lets get real people, we need some “real” fashions!
Thanks for listening
@Janice: What happened to comfort with style? – I agree! Today’s women are much too interested in looks rather than comfort. It is possible to have both, people!
I have to apologize, but I think square toed shoes look very old ladyish, no offense intended. There should be a compromise, something in between pointy and square, maybe there is. I love wearing flats with skinny jeans and skirts and leggings, well, just about with everything. Are there any flats out there somewhere in the middle?
I think the almond shaped toe was the most flattering
