When I used to think of Charles David, I thought shoes… I had no idea he made handbags until I saw one on RueLaLa in early March. And I fell in love.
I had been saving up my money for a good, high-quality handbag for some time and I decided that the Charles David “Raleigh” Fuchsia Large Satchel was “the one”. I bought it on RueLaLa for $128.00. It normally retails for $275.00 so I thought that was a pretty good deal. Plus I was able to use some of my RueLaLa credit, so I ended up only paying $47.95 for the bag.
Well, I just found it on Smart Bargains for only $89.98!!! So it looks like after the sample sales, it moves on to Smart Bargains. One more reason to keep your eyes on that site! Oddly enough, right after I saw it at that price, it suddenly went up to $119!! Not sure what’s up with that…
It was a steal at $128, but they are practically giving it away at $119.98, so if you’re looking for a great handbag for Spring that will also work with your summer wardrobe, this is the bag!
It has a large inner compartment which easily holds everything I need. Right now I have diapers, travel container of wipes, a ziplock bag of crayons and a pocket size coloring book, as well as a makeup bag, a bib, a sippy cup, and a few small toys for my daughter. In the 2 small inner pockets I have several tubes of lipstick and lip balm. And in the inner back zippered pocket I have a variety of feminine products – just in case. In the outer front pocket that is open, I keep my wallet, keys, cell phone and my favorite lip gloss for easy access.
I’ve been using this bag for over a month and I really don’t have any complaints about it. It’s the perfect size for moms who have to share their handbag real estate with diapers and other such things. I haven’t really used a traditional diaper bag since my daughter was a newborn. After a few month you get tired of carrying around 3 separate bags full of “just in case” items…
Everything I need is in this one bag and I love it! I never thought I would buy a pink bag, but I did. Pink is really not a good color for a redhead such as myself, but this shade of pink is warm and lush. It doesn’t clash with my hair at all and it matches pretty much everything. It just adds a nice pop of color to every outfit. And the leather is super soft… I just love it!
