Us girls, we love our nail polish. So I was delighted to try out a fab new line of nail polish from Carolyn NY.
The collections revolve around NYC neighborhoods: Uptown, Midtown, Downtown, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Long Island. Each shade has a cheeky name with an equally fun story behind it, take for example: Cheating in Queens- a brick red shade named for Carolyn’s cheating ex-boyfriend who left her for a stripper in Queens!
There are a plethora of colors to look through and read stories about. Not only that, but the brush is wide enough to cover a large area, the consistency prevents the polish from streaking, and the rubber grip lid makes for easy handling.
Very fun and plenty of cool colors to choose from, but this isn’t industrial strength nail polish, although it stays on longer than most brands. I found that the flat, solid colors stayed on 2 days longer than the colors with glitter or sparkles in it. The nail polish stayed on my nails an average of 5 days without chipping enough to touch up.
The shade that stayed on the longest for me was “Eastside Brownstones” #100034. My second favorite colors were “125th Street History” #100015 and “Queens” #100031. I also tried “Times Square” #100016 which I found was too bright for me. My least favorite was “Snowing In The Park” #100014. It would be good for a french manicure, but I don’t know how to do those!
All in all, I recommend trying out Carolyn NY Nail Polish.
