A few months ago, I had never heard of Erno Laszlo, so I’m wondering how many other people have never heard of them…
If everyone else knows about Erno Laszlo and didn’t tell me, then you’re all in BIG trouble! I had no idea what I was missing out on till I tried a few of their products while I was on vacation.
Erno Laszlo was the first line of dermatologist-created skincare and was a brilliant pioneer in skincare. He invented sunscreen, acne care for adults and children, and the first skincare regimes (called rituals). Wow!
Skincare is such an essential part of being fashionable! Housewives and moms with busy schedules should pay particularly close attention to keeping their skin healthy and youthful. God knows nobody else is going to take care of us…
So I started off by washing my face with the Beta Wash
. It… Was… Heavenly… I’m going to go as far as to say it’s probably the best face wash I’ve ever used in my life. And the skin on my face will agree… It was light, didn’t irritate my skin, easily washed off makeup – including mascara-, and it cleared up my skin without drying my skin out. Did I mention it was heaven. Pure heaven.
I also tried it with my Clarisonic with equally fantastic results.
Depending on what time of day it was and what i was doing, I either used the Antioxidant Mattifying Complex SPF 15 or the Redness FX Calming Lotion
. Both are pricey, but worth their weight in gold.
Acne and very oily skin is something I’ve been battling since I was 12. (Is it ever going to stop?!) I could probably wash my face several times a day and still have oily skin. Normally, when I wear liquid foundation, it only stays on my skin for like 4-6 hours tops… It takes several products underneath and special powders and such on top just to keep it from melting off my face, especially during the warmer months.
In hopes of finding something that would help with this issue, I tried the Erno Laszlo Antioxidant Mattifying Complex SPF 15. It promised 12-hour oil control. Plus, their website said that it absorbs excess sebum without dehydrating skin, and boasts SPF 15 and antioxidants to combat environmental damage. Aloe, cucumber and lemongrass heal, calm and refresh your skin. Wow, sounds great, right? You have no idea…
This stuff seriously works. I mean, for real. I washed my face with the Beta Wash and then applied a thin layer of the Mattifying Complex
to my face and neck, making sure to get right into my hair line. About 3 minutes later I applied CoverGirl TruBlend Liquid Makeup Foundation in “Creamy Natural”
(my personal favorite) and a very light layer of Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder
. Well wouldn’t you know that my face looked flawless for almost 11 hours?! I was very impressed… No other ‘base coat’ has ever made that much of a difference. Yet another product from Erno Laszlo
that blew me away.
The Redness FX Calming Lotion (For Sensitive and Oily Skin)
reduced the redness in my skin within just a few uses… We’re talking like 3-4 days tops. I’ve tried many products that promised to reduce redness. This is the only one that has ever worked. I was so excited and so happy with the results, that I actually went the rest of my vacation without wearing liquid foundation or powder!!! It felt so nice to have clear skin without redness… It was amazing. I felt a lot more confident about myself.
I’ll admit, I’m inept and haven’t quite figured out the best way to use the Heavy Controlling Lotion yet. Since it’s called “lotion” you’d think it was lotion… But it’s very much not. It’s a toner. And I didn’t figure that out until after I came back from vacation and went back to their website to read about it. Looks like I’ll have to try it with a cotton ball next time… We’ll see how that goes.
Erno Laszlo was the favorite of Marylin Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo and today – Hilary Duff and… ME! I am a super huge fan of Erno Laszlo now.
