Every little princess loves nail polish and my 6 1/2 year old daughter is no exception. She absolutely LOVES polishing her nails. She always begs me to let her use my computer so she can get on Pinterest and check out fancy nail art.
Luckily, we found Totally Cool Nails: 50 Fun and Easy Nail Art Designs for Kids so we have step by step instructions complete with pictures of each step so we can recreate 50 different nail art designs any time we want!
Of course we decided to try out the easter-themed nails first! Aren’t they adorable?!
First we started with 2 coats of Jamberry Nail Polish in “Hint of Mint”. Then we picked out the Stripe Rite nail art polish in the colors we would need.
I was glad the instructions were simple and easy to follow because my pregnancy brain couldn’t handle anything too complex right now! The book clearly pictures the step by step progression for each nail design and I was able to (horribly!) paint little bunnies and carrots on my daughter’s microscopic finger nails.
Even though my hands were not very steady and I made quite a mess, she was absolutely over the moon about her nails and was happy to show them off to all her friends.
I enjoyed it because it was a great mother/daughter activity for us. We can’t wait to try the ombre dot, splatter, cupcake, flip-flop, and union jack nails.
