Beans and rice! I like beans and could eat them like candy. Mr. hates their mushy texture but beans and rice is the only beans dish that he likes.

Tostones, they’re simple but good.
My husband’s family is Spanish so I cook a lot of latin food – my favorite is moro rice and beans which is black beans and rice. The color of the rice takes on the shade of the juice from the beans. It’s very tasty and his favorite.

My food obsession is pork carnitas. I make them often, and order them in restaurants all the time.

My favorite more traditional Hispanic Latino recipe is chicken and rice with smoked paprika and saffron. For a more Tex-Mex type of meal I love chicken taquitos with lots of spicy guacamole.

I make a delicious taco pie! I just layer tortillas with taco meat and cheese about 4 or 5 layers deep in a pie pan. Then bake, top with lettuce tomatoes and sour cream! Yum!
