I’ll admit it – I am a lipstick junkie. Because of this, I’m always on the hunt for lipstick that actually lasts – and I’ve tried plenty! After much trial and error, I’ve narrowed the list to these top 5 long wearing lipsticks.
Trust me… you’re going to love at least one of these.
1. Clinique Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick
Unlike a lot of other lipsticks, Clinique’s Long Last Soft Shine lipstick coats your pout in gorgeous color without fading or drying. Plus, it adds just a hint of shine and resists feathering. If you’re searching for a go-to lipcolor that lasts for hours, you definitely need to give this one a try!

2. CoverGirl Outlast All Day Lipcolor
Easily the best drugstore lipstick I’ve found, CoverGirl Outlast literally stays for hours. Color glides on effortlessly and lasts up to 16 hours – how often can you say that about a lipstick? The moisturizing topcoat included adds a subtle shine and helps set the color to resist fading, drying or feathering. Beautiful!
($9, Drugstore.com)
3. CoverGirl Continuous Color Lipstick
CoverGirl is definitely my favorite drugstore brand – they have a knack for making long wearing lipstick that seriously lasts. CoverGirl’s Continuous Color lipstick offers gorgeous coverage in a wide variety of flattering shades and lasts for hours longer than more expensive brands. For a budget lipstick, you really can’t go wrong!
($5.50, Drugstore.com)
4. Maybelline SuperStay 2-step Lipcolor
Comparable to CoverGirl’s Outlast, Maybelline’s SuperStay 2 Step Lipcolor includes a gorgeous lipstick and moisturizing lip balm that helps lock in color and last for hours. Color glides on and stays put – it lasted throughout a night of dinner and dancing for me! No caking, flaking or feathering. Plus, the color selection is superb!
($8, Amazon.com)
5. Stila Long Wear Lip Color
Stila’s Long Wear Lip Color is like a lipstick and gloss in one! The revolutionary pen applicator glides on smoothly and easily and feels just as moisturizing as your favorite lip gloss – but lasts as long as the longest wearing lipstick. It has great staying power, but if you crave a little more shine simply add a little clear gloss on top for the perfect pout that lasts all day.
($20, Sephora.com.)
I love these long wearing lipsticks, and I think you will, too. Give one (or all) of them a try and let me know what you think!
