Review: Nursing Necklace Teething Bling from Smart Mom Jewelry
If you’re a mom, then you know how hard it is to wear jewelry around babies and young toddlers. Either you’re afraid of your jewelry scratching their sensitive skin or you’re worried they will rip the blessed thing right off you!
Thank goodness for Smart Mom Jewelry, a new line of baby friendly teething necklaces!
I was lucky enough to receive one of these cool pendants to review. If you never touched these pieces or seen them in person, you would think that they were made of hard plastic or something. Actually they are soft and pliable and no doubt feel great on baby’s gums!
Teething Bling® products are non-toxic, phthalate, BPA, PVC and lead free.
That’s right ladies! Smart Mom jewelry was actually designed for babies to chew on. The material is non-toxic, latex-free, food–safe, even dishwasher-friendly! It is the same silicone used in many other popular teething products and SGS test reports are available upon request. Although they stress that this is adult jewelry not intended for children to wear, all of their pendants come with a breakaway clasp as an added safety feature.
And the best part? The necklaces look great! They come in heart shape or donut shape pendants and are available in many different stylish colors and patterns. Prices for each necklace start around $19.

No one will suspect that your necklace is not only baby-approved, but doubles as a teething ring! I think Smart Mom Teething Bling necklaces could also work as nursing necklaces. I hated it when my daughter would be nursing and tweaking the other nipple recklessly. These necklaces are perfect for those busy, wandering hands and will keep their focus on dinner instead of the noises around them!

I was just looking at these today, actually. At first I was like, hey, that’s cool, and it’s pretty cute. But, then I thought.. do I really want to ENCOURAGE my future child to chew on my jewelry? What if I want to wear some non-teething jewelry around my child? I understand children like to grab and put things in their mouth, but it’s another thing to encourage them to do it. I don’t want to wear nothing but this one piece of jewelry through my child’s entire teething phase.. So I decided nay.
Yes, but when your LO is in that phase, you can wear NO jewelry!! So, at least w/this jewelry, you can wear something and not worry about it!! I am SOOOOO happy to find it!!! : )
