($18.95 per pair from Zappos.com)

Tired of wearing socks with those low profile skimmers, flats, and sneakers and having them obnoxiously stick out in an annoying fashion? Ditch the socks and slip these Foot Petals® sock-free saviors into your favorite shoes for instant foot protection! You’ll be able to wear your favorite shoes and feel great at the same time! And honestly, isn’t that every gal’s dream come true?

Well it certainly is! You can’t always wear “fashionable socks” or ankle socks with every style of shoe. Some styles just call for bare feet like Sperry’s and flats.

Sock-Free Saviors have a DRI comfort moisture management system that is built into the terry cloth padding that keeps feet cool and dry all day long while the PORON® cushioning absorbs shock making these ideal for any pair of shoes that you wear often.

The amazing Microban anti-microbial protection in these shoe liners doesn’t rub, wear, or wash away AND they fits all types of closed-toes shoes. If they get dirty, just gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent and dry flat. Best of all, Foot Petal products are proudly made in the U.S.A. Score!!!

Here are a couple of pairs I’m wearing sock-free saviors in right now…

Mommy & Me Ballet Flats from Yosi Samra

This Mother’s Day, you and your daughter(s) can both rock your favorite Yosi Samra ballet flats! The classic, colorful and super comfortable fold-up flats are a favorite of celebs like Tiffani Thiessen and her daughter Harper Renn Smith as well as Sarah Jessica Parker and her twins Marion & Tabitha, and Jessica Alba and daughter Honor Warren.

Yosi Samra flats are available in an array of leathers, prints and glitters! So mothers and daughters can go matchy-matchy or mix it up with unique YS styles.

Yosi Samra Flats

They are SO cute! Not only that, they are probably the most comfortable ballet flats…er… actually they are pretty much the most comfortable shoes I own. Period!

My daughter LOVES her pair and wants to wear them all the time. I was very happy to find a pair of ballet flats for her that not only stay on her feet but don’t give her blisters. These flats are definitely a win all around.

The flats retail from $44 to $55 for kids (toddler – teen sizes) and $66 to $88 for women, making them the perfect Mother’s Day gift if your budget is under $100!

I found that the women’s shoes run true to size, but some of the children’s styles run small. Call the company at 646-837-7914 before ordering to double check since it’s almost Mother’s Day and you wouldn’t have time to exchange them!

You can find Yosi Samra flats at Shopbop, INTERMIX, Scoop and online at www.yosisamra.com.

Outfit Ideas: Spring Time Blues

I saw this outfit idea from AVON featuring a wardrobe staple – the chambray shirt. It’s a must-have for spring and looks especially chic paired with leggings on the weekends or with a pencil skirt and heels at the office.

What an easy to put together alternative to jeans and a tee, right? So much cuter for spring too!

I decided I’d give it a try and I think it really is a cute look…

The two-tone comfort flats ($35) are actually very comfortable and are a great pop of color. I wanted to bring even more color into the outfit though so I decided on a coral bubble necklace I got from Zulily a few weeks ago. I think it really completes the look!

I’m also loving these super comfy capri length leggings (2 for $20) because they are soft, comfortable, not-too-thin and a must for the weekends!

What do you think of this outfit? Is it something you’d wear for a casual occasion?

Outfit Ideas: Red with Polka Dots

Wondering what to wear with polka dots? How to wear red? Or maybe you’re not sure how to accessorize without overdoing it? This spring, try your hand at mixing and matching patterns and bold colors like wearing polka dots and accessorizing with red shoes, red lips and a bright red handbag.

While browsing Pinterest last week, I found this pin and I just fell in love with this look…

So I put together a similar outfit to show you how you can mix and match different types of accessories to create a similar look…

The Jafa Mary Janes are a key component to this outfit being “mom friendly”. These shoes are part of Jafa’s new spring line and are not only super comfortable (and come in lots of colors besides just red) but they are handmade in Israel with incredible attention to detail. If you are looking for something comfortable, that you can run around and chase your kiddos in, these are the ticket.

If you don’t have small children and prefer to wear heels, switch the comfy mary janes out for these Red High Heels ($26) with double strap across the foot, and flower accent at the side. Or maybe you’d prefer Red Patent Ballet Flats ($52) with a cute bow on the toe. Either way, a bright red shoe is key to this outfit!

Would you wear this outfit? How would you change it to suit your unique style?

Today’s Outfit: TJ Maxx Score Outfit #1

Last week, I scored big time at TJ Maxx! What would have cost me over $1,500 in a department store cost me around $200 in T.J.Maxx! Oh yeah, I’m a Maxxinista baby…

I bought mostly wardrobe staples and accessories that would bring my summer wardrobe into Fall without too much effort (or cost). One of my favorite items I purchased was a cropped faux leather jacket that was on sale for just $20! I an IN LOVE with this jacket!

My other favorite score were these rust colored ponte knit jeggings that were only $14.99!!! I can wear them with so many different things through the entire Fall season AND probably into winter too!

Here are 2 different outfit examples of items I purchased at TJ Maxx that feature the black jacket and the rust colored skinnies…

Both of those gorgeous blouses I bought at TJ’s too – one for $12.99 and one for $14.99. And those absolutely adorable animal print studded ballet flats practically jumped into my shopping cart all by themselves… Seriously. They knew they had to come home with me. And at only $16.99, I wasn’t going to protest.

It got cold, fast, here in New England so I wasn’t about to wear a thin blouse today. So I’m wearing a black long sleeve shirt under a gray sweater (two things that were already in my wardrobe) and I’m wearing them with that black leather jacket, the rust colored jeggings and those studded ballet flats. Super cute and super comfy!

We want YOU to score big at TJ Maxx too! Enter our TJ Maxx giveaway for a chance to win a $100 gift card for TJ Maxx! TWO WINNERS will be chosen!! Enter for chance to win today!

Cool Fall Fashion Trends for Moms

For moms, fashion needs to be as functional as it is stylish. With their busy schedules, moms need wardrobe pieces that can easily go from a PTA meeting to a night on the town, without sacrificing style in the process. The following fall wardrobe essentials are must-haves for all moms, and will keep you feeling cool and confident all day long.

Basic Wardrobe Pieces Every Mom Should Own

Fall fashion is all about layering. The following wardrobe pieces are great for layering, and should be found in every woman’s closet:

  • Camisoles
Camisoles in basic black or white look great peeping out from under a dressy top. If you like a bolder look, shop for camisoles in bright, eye-catching shades like cranberry or electric blue. For nights out, pair a pretty camisole with a sleek pencil skirt or basic slacks, and add a little flair with bold statement jewelry.
  •

  • Blazers
Blazers have made a huge comeback in recent years. Look for one that will compliment any body shape by going in at the waist and flaring out a little at the hip. For those with a more daring fashion sense, consider a blazer with sculpted shoulder pads. This fall essential looks great with everything from boyfriend jeans to a little black dress, and is a must-have for fall!
  •

  • Dark Denim Jeans
No wardrobe is complete without the perfect pair of jeans. A dark denim wash will slim hips and lengthen legs, no matter the cut or style. Skinny jeans are a great choice, as are tapered and wide leg options. Dress up your perfect jeans with heels or flats in a great fall color like mustard or burgundy!
  •

  • Ballet Flats
As most women know, ballet flats are essential to any wardrobe. Ballet flats look great with virtually everything, and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Basic black flats are a wardrobe staple, but bolder colors such as cherry red or gold will spice up any outfit! For the ultimate in comfort and style, check out flats made by Jessica Simpson.
  •

  • Knee-High Boots
Fall just wouldn’t be the same without a great pair of boots. A low-heeled boot is perfect for casual wear, and looks great paired with skinny jeans or tights. High-heeled varieties also go well with jeans, and can be worn with evening wear as well.
  •

  • Cardigan Sweaters
Cardigans are perfect cool-weather attire. These sweet little sweaters look best over a basic top and paired with casual slacks or jeans. For the perfect retro look, don’t forget the ballet flats and the strand of pearls!
  •

  • Form-Flattering Dresses
Every woman needs a perfect dress for every season. This season, look for cuts and fabrics that will keep you warm on those chilly autumn nights. If you like bold patterns, check out great fall dresses in animal print, houndstooth or plaid. If basic colors are more your style, deep greens and rich browns are great color options, as are berry, deep orange and navy.
  •

  • Leather Bag
Time to put away the summer totes and handbags and trade them in for autumn bags in rich leather! For most moms, a catch-all bag is an everyday essential. Polish your look by choosing a classic bag in a neutral color. Coach bags, for example, come in all styles and sizes to compliment any wardrobe.

Spring Essentials: Foot Petals Sole Stopperz

A few weeks ago I got another new pair of shoes on Zulily (They are seriously super addicting!). These Sam & Libby Women’s Zippy Ballet Flats were on sale for only $11.49 (original $49.00). I couldn’t pass them up!

Only problem with them is again, some dude (because a chick would never design a shoe with a slippery sole unless they were for her worst enemy) decided that soft velvet-like soles would save them $0.12 over something more durable and slip-resistant like, say, RUBBER.

No problembo though. I just slapped a pair of Foot Petals Sole Stopperz in black on the bottoms. Just make sure soles are clean and these genius little grippers will stick for life.
