It’s winter time in the land down under, but don’t raise your man’s feelings of discontent. Give him a gift in the winter to remind him that your feelings are as warm and toasty as a number of gifts you present.
Wrap your head around these warm sentiments made especially for your ‘snow man.’
Hats
Your man’s mommy may have told him that most body heat leaves at his head and he’s required to wear a hat! However, that mom-provided wisdom is not true. The science behind the myth has to do with exposure. In winter, it’s likely the rest of the body is clothed, so heat is released at exposure points – just like heat would leave at the legs when wearing shorts.
Choose a sturdy, warm wool hat. Since he may need more guidance regarding style, consider a number of varieties, such as a crocheted knight helmet; he is your knight in crocheted garments, is he not?
Scarves
Most men wear a tie to work but forget to protect their neck in the winter, another body part oft exposed to cold conditions. Choose a manly and cozy scarf made of wool or other warm winter materials. If a traditional scarf is not his style, opt for a scowl that serves much like a shirt for the neck.
Food
Warm his insides with sentiments of tasty treats. Boxt offers some great Dude Food Hampers. You can’t trudge through an entire day on an empty stomach, so be sure his stomach is full and his thoughts sweet on you. Choose from a variety of goodies, targeting those who are especially concerned with their health or those who like to dine on salty and fatty goodies!
Gloves
The body’s extremities of the hands and feet are susceptible to intense winter chills. Be sure your man’s hands are as warm as his heart by providing him with mittens, gloves, and fingerless implements.
Consider his line of work or particular activities performed outside to make an optimal decision. For example, purchase a pair of mittens that fold back at the top to access fingerless gloves in case he has to handle money or open the door for you. Since ‘mittens’ may not appear manly enough for him, choose a pair with a bit of an edge, such as these skull and bones pair.
Socks
Feet, closest to the cold ground, are likely to grow chilly unless protected bya warm pair of socks. Purchase a pair to provide heat as well as endurance; cheaply made socks pull at the threads and quickly accumulate holes. Since winter is exceptionally cold, consider purchasing a pair of liner socks, those that go on first, so he can travel near and far…to get you anything you desire.
Boots
No winter ensemble is complete without a great pair of durable and warm boots. Be sure to make a distinction between waterproof and water resistant. The former variety is better in protecting against wet, cold weather. Consider full-length or shorter cuts to accommodate his style and preference.
