Driving through northern New Hampshire tonight I was kinda/sorta/not really surprised to see snow in the side of the road. ย I mean it is November after all…you sort of expect that sort of thing in the north, but SNOW…already? ย I immediately began to take mental stock of my winter boot situation. ย If you live in a cold, snowy climate you definitely need more than one boot. ย So here are my picks for the coming season:
If it’s simply cold and you don’t have to worry about ย slush and ice, you can’t go wrong with a pair of Uggs. ย They are warm, oddly chic, and come in a variety of styles from the basic to the tricked out Jimmy Choo (see earlier posts):
If it’s wet AND cold, try the Flora Boot by London Fog:
This 100% suede, waterproof boot is the perfect blend of Yankee practical and edgy biker chick. ย These boots have a lot going for them. ย And they are perfect for sidewalks that are shoveled but still have a hint of ice and snow hanging around. ย As soon as I’m done posting this I’m going to treat myself to a pair of these fun, funky boots.
For a full on storm, try the Sorel Snow Angel Boots. ย I bought a pair of these last year and was so happy to have sloppy, slushy, freezing days so that I could really maximize my purchase. ย They were perfect for walking the dogs, running errands and sledding with the kids. ย Plus, they are super warm and very easy to get on and off :
All of these boot selections are available at Piperlime, except for the Uggs which are available at Uggaustralia.com
