What you get with a roman blind is a similar mode of operation to the aforementioned blinds, by being able to lower and raise the blind according to personal preference, but the fundamental difference is the fact that a roman blind is made from one piece of fabric rather than consisting of slats.

 

Vertical blinds

It might suit your size of window or just be more aesthetically pleasing to you, but a vertical blind offers you the option of having a blind that runs from top to bottom rather than from left to right over your window.

You may well find during your online search for blinds, that vertical blinds may well be where you are offered the largest choice of different colors, texture and styles.

 

Roller blinds

These type of blinds are generally considered to be the most modern and indeed practical, of blinds that are available. Made from one piece of fabric which is then supplied in a color and style of your choosing, they offer you a great deal of versatility when trying to find the right solution for your windows.
