Whitening Sensitive Teeth at Home with Smile Brilliant

For almost a decade, my heart has longed for white teeth. Unfortunately, I was a barista from 19-24, which means I have probably consumed a tanker full of coffee in my lifetime. My daily Americanos and Trenta ice coffees have caught up to me and my poor teeth. What used to be a lovely “egg shell white” now would probably be closer to “canary yellow” in color. I have tried a couple of different “whitening” tricks, and I will be frank, quitting coffee is not one of them (nor will it ever be, because I have a toddler).

I was a little hesitant to give it a try since I’m super awful about taking my vitamins and using lotion, daily. I had to challenge myself to take my teeth whitening seriously!

Getting Started

One of the most fun parts about the whitening process was making the teeth molds. My friend’s children liked helping me make the blue putty and seeing my teeth imprints.

The finished molds came in the mail really quickly and they fit my teeth like a glove. They come with a convenient carrying case to keep them in. I was really impressed with the whole process.

How Often To Do Treatments

I was a little nervous because I have had periods of sensitive teeth; It also runs in my family. With this in mind, I decided to start by whitening my teeth every three days to be safe. While I was whitening my teeth, I was able to clean my house, work on the computer, or just relax and watch television.

It was easy to work Smile Brilliant teeth whitening into my evening routine, despite having a toddler.

A couple of times I whitened my teeth while my son was awake, he thought I looked super funny, and he laughed the whole time! At least he is getting an early example that taking care of your teeth is really important.

I completed 12 treatments over the course of a month, and was really excited to see my teeth getting whiter!

My teeth were (shamefully) dingy before I began using Smile Brilliant teeth whitening system. After just a month of treatments, I am definitely feeling more confident and am proud of how much whiter my teeth are.

I know I have a ways to go and will continue to do the treatments, but it is definitely lifting the super deep stains out and has made a huge improvement so far!

I have a hard enough time remembering to moisturize my skin and polish my nails, so I thought I would have a very hard time carving out room in my busy routine to whiten my teeth. Final Thoughts

One piece of advice I would give is to make sure you do not fall asleep with it in your mouth! I tried setting an alarm, but mom-life makes you tired, and I ended up with a sensitive mouth the next day.
