Love tuna but hate pease? My husband hates any cooked vegetables so I created my own recipe for No Peas Tuna Casserole. Yeah that’s right, it doesn’t have peas in it!! This is something kids would love too if they aren’t a fan of those little green balls.
It tastes darn good and it’s really easy and cheap to make. I adapted Campbell’s Tuna Noodle Casserole and Kraft’s Cheddar Tuna Casserole to suit our taste and to omit peas. Let me know what you think!
No Peas Tuna Casserole
INGREDIENTS
* 2 lb Wide Egg Noodles
* 1 can Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
* 2-3 cans of Tuna (light or white in water)
* 1 cup of milk
* 1-2 tsp Mrs. Dash Original
* 1-2 tsp Garlic Powder (not garlic salt!)
* salt & pepper to taste (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Cook the noodles in a separate pot with water and 2 tsp salt.
Add all other ingredients into a pot and cook on medium-low heat while the noodles boil.
When the noodles are tender (or however you prefer them) drain them, then pour the sauce mixture onto the noodles and stir.
Let sit for 3-5 minutes while the sauce thickens a bit and then serve!
Serves about 6 people. If there is only 2 of you, there will be enough leftovers for a meal the next day! It’s great reheated… Just throw it all in a pot with a bit of milk and heat it up! Or stick it in the microwave.
