Trend Alert: Distressed Jeans… Housewife Friendly?
I’ve noticed distressed jeans popping up on celebrities and also in the lines of several clothing companies lately. I’ll be frank and say right off the bat that I like the look personally. I don’t currently own any because I am flip-flopping on whether or not this look is appropriate for the non-celebrity housewife type. Not to say that we aren’t all fabulous… but let’s be real, just because a clothing company makes a certain style or the celebrities are wearing them – make them appropriate for fall.
Is this a look you would rock for the park or school pick-up?

Yes, I would wear it and I do. But I would not spend a ton of money on a pair of jeans like this either. There are plenty of other brands that have this trend and are affordable (American Eagle, is one example). I think it’s a personal decision similar to whether you like chocolate or vanilla. My husband can’t understand the point of wearing distressed jeans and I, on the other hand, really like this down-to-earth comfy look. As long as it’s worn appropriately – not to a PTA meeting or church perhaps. But, I’d wear it to go grocery shopping, the mall, out to a movie with a nice top or sweater – sure. You can even do it yourself with an old pair of jeans at home.
I wear distressed jeans.I only wear them around the house.
I personally don’t like the distressed jeans all that much…I like my jeans to look NEW when I purchase them…besides, who would want to pay 200 dollars for something you can find at a thrift store for 4.99 or less???
I think it’s crazy!
As a 42 year old, full figured mama I LOVE the distressed look! Just have a hard time locating the
size I need-I am not trying to “look” young, just think they are very “relaxed & casual”
