Traveling with three kids can be a lot of work, but it can also be a lot of fun! One way to make traveling easier on you and the kids is making sure you can easily keep an eye on them without taking your eyes completely off the road.
On the top of every parent’s priority list is keeping their children safe and healthy. We make sure we research and find the best car seats in addition to making sure our cars are safe. We all wants to make sure that our precious cargo gets trans transported safely every single time they are in the car.
When my kids are little, I almost always ride in the backseat with them while my husband drives. However, when travelling alone with a little one, it’s nearly impossible to know what’s really going in the back seat, especially if your child is in a rear facing car seat. Watching the road and seeing your child has not been easy, until now.
The must-have accessory for busy parents on the go this summer!

Garmin knows how stressful it can be to drive with a bunch of kids in the backseat. Road trip anyone? With this in mind, Garmins created a device called the babyCam™ that works seamlessly with their Garmin Drive 50 GPS to allow you to see what’s going on in the backseat without compromising safety.
Whether you have a toddler in a rear-facing car seat, or a child in a forward-facing one, the Garmin babyCam is your backseat video baby monitor, that gives you, the driver, the ability to see exactly what’s going on back there without pulling over and stopping the vehicle. No more interrupted trips! You can view your kids right in the display of the Garmin navigation device!
Don’t worry, this babyCam is very easy to install. You don’t need tools, wires , or any technical knowledge whatsoever. Just a few minute of your time and you can have your babyCam system up and running. We found the simple, but highly secure, twist-to-clamp bracket on the back of the babyCam device to be very easy to use and it allowed us to mount the camera to a front or backseat headrest in most cars.
Once you have the device mounted, you then connect it with your compatible Garmin navigation device using the cable that comes included with babyCam and your system is ready to sync. Once your device is powered on and wirelessly paired with your new babyCam, you’re all set and ready to view a live video feed of what’s going on in your backseat, right from the navigator’s display!
The babyCam video monitor has built in night vision that provides a clear image, even in bright and low-light conditions, so you don’t have to worry about disturbing a sleeping child by flipping the interior light on.
One of the coolest features of the Garmin babyCam is that when you get to your destination, the GPS provides a help on-screen alert that reminds you to check for passengers before exiting the vehicles. I know this one feature alone will help save lives.
This is truly a game changer for busy parents everywhere and I’m sure you are just as excited to learn about this product as I was!
