At 37 weeks pregnant, it’s getting harder and harder to get dressed and feel like anything other than a beached whale. I’m uncomfortable, bloated, swollen, sore, none of my shoes fit, none of my underwear fit, I can’t reach my toes and my back is killing me. Any little thing I can do to make myself feel better, I’m going to do!
One thing that has helped me feel a little more human is Britney Spears’ new fragrance, fantasy IN BLOOM. It’s light, fruity fragrance smells like spring and makes me feel like a girl… instead of a hippo. Although I still feel a bit like a hippo…
I haven’t even bothered trying to look good for the past few weeks, except when I go to church on Sunday! This is the outfit I wore this past Sunday and despite how uncomfortable I am, I felt pretty good in this comfy coral dress from NOM Maternity. I’m in love with this dress because it’s made from a super soft, stretchy modal material, doesn’t have any itchy tags or pokey seams AND best of all, it can be worn for nursing after the baby arrives. The snap down front allows easy access for nursing and the forgiving side ruching will help cover up my post-partum body.
I wore it with a floral kimono I recently grabbed on Amazon for $17. I looked high and low on over a dozen different websites for a drapey, floral cardigan and couldn’t find one that I liked for less than $30 until I spotted this one on Amazon. While it doesn’t feel like it was worth $17 (maybe more like $10?!) it’s exactly what I was looking for. Soft, stretchy, feels like pajamas but looks great dressed up or down. I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of this top for the next couple months. I hope it holds up well in the wash!
Hopefully, this is the last edition of “Today’s Outfit” featuring maternity clothes! Wish me luck!!!
