The unofficial rule of “no white before Memorial Day” isn’t widely obeyed anymore, but I still notice a huge increase in people wearing white the weekend around Memorial Day. This Memorial Day weekend was no exception!
I decided to try out my new Beija Flor White Cropped Jeans to ring in the unofficial begining of summer.
With three kids, it’s safe to say that I was a little nervous to put on white pants, but I figured wearing them to church I would either be sitting in the car or sitting in a pew, so it would be hard to get dirty. Thankfully, I was able to keep myself clean and pristine, even with a grocery shopping trip afterwards, with all 3 kids in tow.

I gotta tell you, I’m in love with these jeans. They are NOT your average jeans by any stretch of the imagination. These are different than any other pants I’ve worn before.
Did you ever notice that you have to try on about 2 dozen different pairs of jeans before you find one pair that even come close to fitting your body properly? Guess what, you’re not alone! Most women compare shopping for jeans to be second only to swimsuit shopping. It can be a painful and grueling experience, to say the least.
Thankfully, someone noticed that most clothing companies in the US were not making jeans that were actually designed to fit the average woman. Go into just about any store to buy jeans and you’ll find they appear to be designed for a straight body with no curves. If they fit your butt, then the waist is too big. If you go down a size, to make the waist fit, then you can get them up past your thighs. It’s a vicious cycle of trying on jeans that I understand all too well. It seems that if you have a curvy shape at all with any semblance of a butt, rounder hips or larger thighs, then good luck finding jeans that fit you. Am I right or am I right?
Once you try a pair of Beija Flor jeans, you will be amazed at the fit. They feel like they were custom made just for me! You can feel right away that they were designed with your body shape in mind. The waist doesn’t gap in the back, the thighs aren’t too tight, the rear doesn’t give me a “mom butt” and they have just the right amount of stretch to allow you to move freely and have your pants go with you.
For sizing reference, I am 5’2″, 115 lbs and I got these in a size 2. They fit perfectly.

Beija Flor Jeans were born when an entrepreneurial mother and daughter team realized there was a serious lacking of jeans designed to fit real women’s bodies. On their quest to find the perfect fitting pair of jeans, they finally realized that no one in the states had actually designed them yet. Thus, Beija Flor was born. Their innovative and passionate approach to design has earned Beija Flor extensive praise from celebrities, magazines and women around the world, including being featured in the “World’s Best Jeans” article in O, The Oprah Magazine.

Bonus: The pockets are big enough for my iPhone 6+! Normally, finding jeans I can fit my huge phone into is another challenge, but my phone slips in and out of these back pockets effortlessly.
I think I need about 6 more pairs of these jeans….
Once you try Beija Flor Jeans, you won’t want to wear anything else. You can find Beija Flor Jeans on www.beijaflorjeans.com and in select boutiques and stores nationwide, like Bloomies.

Another good hair day thanks to a few of my new favorite products…
Shampooed and Conditioned my hair with Mitch Stone Essentials Lustre Shampoo and Conditioner Duo. This is hands-down my new favorite duo that produces excellent results regardless of what styling products I use.
Styling products used include Alterna Haircare BAMBOO VOLUME Weightless Whipped Mousse allover damp hair and a few spritzes of Alterna Haircare Caviar Miracle Multiplying Volume Mist at the roots.
I then blow dried my hair with my Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Hair Dryer and a John Frieda Full Volume Round Brush. I love this Conair hair dryer because it provides lightning-fast drying at lower temperatures which helps to protect your hair from heat damage. It features 3Q technology, named for its three essential features: quick, quiet and quality. It definitely lives up to it’s name!
Once dried, I lightly sprayer my hair with TRESemmé Beauty Full Volume Flexible Finish Hairspray to set my style.
I’m wearing Derma E Radiant Beauty Cream (my fav “BB” cream) along with Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara and URBAN DECAY All Nighter Eyeliner and a variety of colors from the Urban Decay Naked2.
Last but definitely not least, these Alegria Krmen Oyster slip on two-strap sandals are aaaaaaahmaaaazing. As with all Alegria shoes, they feature their signature cork, memory foam and polyurethane footbed that anatomically forms to your foot to redistribute weight more evenly giving you the most comfortable pair of shoes you’ve ever experienced.
Unlike most shoes, both straps are velcro adjustable, letting you totally customize the fit. Plus the rocker outsole is engineered to roll as you walk which naturally encourages proper posture. With shoes like these, you can walk easily all day long without getting fatigued. These are a great choice for busy moms or anyone who does a lot of standing or walking all day.
If I was going to a park or a zoo for the day, my Alegria sandals would be the ones I would choose to wear. I highly recommend Alegria if you are looking for a comfortable pair of sandals or shoes that you can wear all season long.
You can find Alegria Krmen Oyster on Sole Provisions for $109. Free 2-3 day shipping and free returns.
