Spring Cleaning Tips For Your Home Office
If you are like me and ready to get a head start on your spring cleaning already, here are a few tips to help you get started.
1. Get a box and a plastic garbage bag. Go through all the paperwork in your office piece by piece, separating it into 3 piles. One pile to file in the filing cabinet, one pile into the garbage bag to shred and one pile into a box or basket of the paperwork that still needs to be dealt with.
2. SHRED as much paperwork as you can! Don’t throw it away without shredding it! Don’t bother keeping old papers around that you don’t need and will probably never look at.
3. Clear off all surfaces like desks, bookcases, tables, cabinets, etc and remove as much clutter from the room as possible. Throw anything unnecessary away because clutter will make you crazy. It’s a proven fact. (Haven’t you watched Hoarders?!)
4. Get a Swiffer duster and clean off all surfaces including window sills, fan blades, knick knacks on bookcases, etc.
5. Remove dark and dingy things from your office and replace it with things that are white, bright and clean! Some crisp new curtains can transform a space quickly.
