The Housewife Loves Handmade: House of Avandan Giveaway

I don’t know if you know this or not… but, The Fashionable Housewife loved Handmade. I know that a few of our contributors dabble in crafting and even jewelry making so we thought we would give the opportunity for you ladies to win something from an artisan that is handmade with love and of course, also very fashionable!

We discovered House of Avandan, an etsy shop by Miss Vanita Sloan. This lovely steampunk inspired necklace is now a part of my jewelry wardrobe and I think it’s pretty darn lovely. Feminine with an edge, this necklace hangs just right and adds some sass to many of my work blouses.

For me, handcrafting is a rewarding experience. I make special items that cannot be bought at mass market chain stores.”

  98. I truly love the Steampunk Bracelet Charm Layered Vintage Style. I’m quite girly but have started gravitating towards steampunk items of late so this is the perfect mix of both in my opinion!Hmmm…do I have the funds to go back and buy it tonight???
