Review: Metamucil Fiber Supplements

I recently had the opportunity to try out 2 new products from Metamucil.

Being pregnant, I was instructed by my midwife to add more fiber to my diet. These two products made that task really easy.

Now normally, people shy away from powdered fiber supplements because they are notorious for tasting horrible and being gritty and hard to swallow. Not anymore though! Metamucil has engineered a way to make adding fiber to your diet easy and even good tasting.

I first tried the Metamucil Powder in their new berry flavor, Berry Burst. I was surprised that I actually liked it. It’s great for flavoring your favorite smoothie. I make smoothies and protein drinks for myself quite often and the wonderful berry flavor if this powder mixes in nice. I found the easiest way to use it was mixing it in my glass of orange juice in the morning. I found it’s also quite good mixed in with yogurt.

The Berry Burst powder is a new delicious way to help lower your cholesterol as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol. Just mix Metamucil Berry Burst into at least 8 ounces of water or your favorite beverage for a delicious, convenient way to add fiber to your diet.

The second product I tried out was Fibersure. It’s a clear-mixing fiber supplement that easily mixes into foods and drinks without changing taste or texture. Just add Fibersure while cooking and baking. It’s that easy.

I buy cases of Poland Springs water bottles and keep them stocked up in my fridge. I have a hard time drinking as much water as I should, so this was the only way I could get myself to drink more water. Well, now I can “kill two birds with one stone” so-to-speak. I just mix a teaspoon of Fibersure into the bottle of water, shake it up, and drink it. You can taste it, you can’t see it. It’s really quite impressive and a really easy way to add more fiber to your diet.
