Do your part for the environment by using reusable shopping bags.
Did you know that 14 plastic bags contain enough petroleum to drive your car 1 mile. It can cost your city 17 cents per bag to dispose of it.
Now I know most people don’t want to hear about global warming, so I won’t say that…
However… my feelings are, plastic bags are a convenience. If I can bring my own bags to the grocery store and reuse them all the time, I will. Not only does it help out the planet a little bit by decreasing about 11 pounds of garbage, but it saves like $140 a year for the city I live in. Sounds like a good enough reason to me.
So I’ve been using reusable shopping bags for about 2 months. I have 2 from Trader Joe’s and I have a “clover green” reusable shopping bag from 1BagAtATime. It holds the same amount as like 3 plastic bags and that’s without squishing the bread. I highly recommend these bags because they are lightweight, strong, and you can use them over and over again. Plus, they are totally affordable!
Price: 10 bags for only $15.99
