Product Review: Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer + Hypoallergenic Body Lotion
I had the opportunity to try two products from the Yes to Cucumbers line – their Daily Calming Moisturizer with SPF 30 and their Hypoallergenic Body Lotion. As a woman who suffers from sensitive skin, I was eager to try these products and hopefully get my skin in check. For my full review, keep reading after the break.
Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer
First Impressions
This dermatologist-tested sunscreen + moisturizer was designed to balance sensitive skin while providing the ultimate protection against UVA and UVB rays. The ingredients include organic cucumber, which helps soothe and soften skin; aloe vera for its anti-bacterial properties; and zinc + titanium dioxide for their natural sun protection benefits.
Upon the first application, I was a little appalled at the white mask that appeared on my face. Product information says it isn’t supposed to leave a “ghost” face, but upon first application it will. This lotion definitely takes a lot of blending into the skin to avoid the white cast a lot of products with sunscreen cause. However, when properly blended it sinks into skin and doesn’t leave a chalky appearance behind – phew! Plus, the cucumbers in the moisturizer leave a cooling feeling behind, which I really liked. It felt like my skin was being soothed the moment I applied the cream.
After One Month
It’s been about one month now, and while I don’t particularly care for the amount of rubbing and blending I have to use to get this cream to avoid leaving behind a white mask, I do like what it’s done for my skin. It hasn’t irritated my fragile, sensitive skin and it leaves my complexion looking radiant. I haven’t used this in conjunction with the Yes to Cucumbers Daily Gentle Cleanser, but it does recommend you use both for the best results. However, I use my normal cleanser and get great results regardless. I would recommend this moisturizer to anyone with sensitive skin, provided you don’t mind blending to get rid of the white cast.

Yes to Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Body Lotion
First Impressions
All of the ingredients in this lotion are the same as they are in the facial moisturizer, except the lotion also contains Jojoba Oil for its moisturization properties and skin-softening benefits. This 98% natural body lotion is also phthalate, paraben, and SLS free.
I have to use a lot of lotion to soothe my dry, itchy skin, and I liked how this felt when first applied. It’s non greasy, absorbed quickly into my skin and left a fresh cucumber scent behind that was pleasant and not overpowering at all.
After One Month
Love, love, LOVE this body lotion. It soothes my itchy skin almost instantly, and keeps my skin soft and supple almost all day long. I’m a lotion fiend, so I do reapply this once during the day, but the moisturization of this body lotion is superb. I use it almost daily (switching between this and the Yes to Carrots body lotion) and my skin has never looked or felt better. If you struggle with sensitive skin, I definitely recommend giving this hypoallergenic body lotion a try. It’s great!

My skins pretty good to say I’m 15 I use Boots Botanics with honey and bran pietorn. Heres what I do:Run the tap till its warm(not too hot)Drench my face with the warm waterRub in the face wash in circular motions till its all foamyWash it off with warm water againTurn the tap till its freezing coldDrench my face to close the pores againPat dry my facePut a thin covering on Sainsburys brand Baby lotion all over my face.Normal baby lotion doesnt work for me only Sainsburys, it’s magical I think because I’ve tried the same routine with different moisterisers and only that one works
I think it was really a good product. Aside from its natural base, its also affordable that people can afford it. And the comments above are very convincing.
