Product Review: Yes to Blueberries Rejuvenating Body Lotion

I live in a very dry climate, so a good body lotion is super important to me – I can’t stand dry skin. That’s why I was so excited to try Yes to Blueberries Rejuvenating Body Lotion, which is 98% natural and chock full of good-for-you ingredients to keep skin looking its best. Before I get to my review, let me tell you a bit about the ingredients. They are:

• Blueberries – Jam packed with antioxidants to help fight damaging free radicals
• Tamanu Seed Oil – Helps repair skin, provide hydration and improve skin’s smoothness
• Grapeseed Oil – Helps skin appear firmer and retain moisture
• Sunflower Oil – A skin softener that also helps skin appear firmer and smoother

The directions recommend using this lotion once in the morning and once at night, especially after a shower to help lock in moisture. I first applied the lotion one morning fresh from the shower, and was pleased that it sank into my skin quickly without feeling heavy or greasy. I wasn’t too sure about the scent at first. It smells nothing like blueberries, but it has an… interesting smell I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Luckily, I was able to get used to it; it isn’t overpowering and doesn’t clash with any fragrance I choose to wear.

As far as moisture goes, it definitely quenches my dry skin and leaves it looking and feeling nice and soft. I’ve been using this lotion regularly for two weeks now and while I don’t notice any increased firmness, I do think my skin is more moisturized than it has been. I use it at morning after a shower and at night before I go to bed, so I actually wake up with nice, smooth skin.

Even though it’s technically a “body” lotion, I like using it just on my hands as well. It works surprisingly well as a hand cream!

Overall

Since using Yes to Blueberries Rejuvenating Body Lotion, I’ve noticed my skin doesn’t feel dry and tight all the time like it used to. While I don’t think I’ll replace my regular body lotion with this exclusively, I definitely will be using it regularly when I think my skin needs a little more TLC. If you are unsatisfied with your current body lotion or would like a natural alternative, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.
